William R. Jungman, DDS, Owner
William Randy Jungman DDS established Citracado Dental Group in 1980. His wife and dental partner, Julie E Kangas, DDS, joined him in 1981. A native San Diegan, he is a graduate of the University of Southern California, and returned to Escondido to establish his practice. Our current facility was completed in 1995 and is the practice home of Drs. Jungman and Kangas, their associates and dental team.
Dr Jungman and Dr Kangas are the parents of four sons: three college students and one in high school. Three sons are Eagle Scouts and the eldest is currently in dental school in Los Angeles, with future plans to join the family practice.
Dr. Jungman’s professional involvement includes serving as a UCSD volunteer faculty member in the dept of family medicine. He spent one month in 2008 as a volunteer dentist aboard the Navy hospital ship Mercy performing humanitarian aid on several south Pacific islands. Dr Jungman is also the consulting dentist for the …Escondido and San Marcos Joslyn senior centers.
Dr Jungman is an active volunteer and board member with the Boys and Girls Club of Greater San Diego, and currently serves as Area Council Chairman. In 2009 he was awarded the National Medallion for outstanding dedicated service to the organization. Dr. Jungman is also active with the Boy Scouts of America, as a council board member, district committee member, assistant Scoutmaster, and as a chartered sponsor of Cub Scout pack 659.
His hobbies include traveling, hunting, fishing and collecting antique maps and books about San Diego County.
