Dr. William Mark Konyecsni, MD

We had our first visit a we were pleased with the time and effort he took with the evaluation. We are happy we found him and we are hopeful that he will guide us through the process.

I have been a patient of Dr. Konyecsni for 4 years and believe he is very knowledgeable and caring in the field of mental health upon the youth. He helped me feel positive about my progress. He can provide great services as long as the patient remembers that their own effort is the key to success.

I HAVE A LIFELONG HISTORY OF MENTAL ILLNESS AND HAVE SEEN DOZENS OF PSYCHIATRISTS. DR. KONYECSNI IS THE BEST I'VE EVER SEEN. HE IS VERY THROROUGH AND TAKES AN EXCELLENT HISTORY. HE IS RESPECTFUL TO ME & MY CHILD & I HAVE NEVER FELT BADGERED BY HIM. HE IS PATIENT AND TAKES THE TIME TO DEAL WITH MY VERY DIFFICULT CHILD IN A VERY KIND WAY. I HAVE RECOMMENDED HIM WITHOUT RESERVATIONS TO MY FAMILY & FRIENDS.

My child was diagnosed with ADHD, then Bipolar Disorder, and treated with many medications (Adderall, Depakote, Lamitcal, and Abilify to name a few), and as many as five medications at a time. Nothing seemed to be working. This doctor asked more questions than we have ever been asked before, and diagnosed my child with anxiety problems and OCD. We changed medications, and now my child is happy, willing to go to school and now we know that his "rages" which were called Bipolar were actually anger episodes that my child was having because we were "breaking rules" that we didn't even know existed. Dr. Konyecsni spent time explaining each of the medications changes that were going to be made, gave us choices, and allowed us as parents to make treatment decisions for our son, and was available when we had questions or problems. The office manager is very helpful, and Dr. Konyecsni calls us back.

Spent the time to help me understand what was going on with my child. Very knowledgeable. Had a great rapport with my child and put him at ease.

I brought my son in for depression and the doctor actually badgered him in our evaluation. Dr. K told our son that if he didn't care about school there was no medication he could give him to care. While I understand that literally this is true and no medication makes him want school, to a depressed child it leaves a sense of hopelessness. Being bullied by a "doctor" just seems wrong. We will NEVER be back to this place. I feel sorry for the children he sees. He has the worst bedside manner I have ever seen!!
