Dr.Kraklowe is a great doctor because he gives a thorough,easy to understand care and has a wonderful bedside manner.

If only 0 stars was an option. He was my mother’s former Nephrologist and in all honesty I believe his goal was to get her on dialysis. When she was first diagnosed she was in Stage 2 CKD, but as he did not educate/explain the gravity of the situation he let her progress from Stage 2 to 4 in a matter of months. During which time a slew of health issues occurred, due to the 100lbs of water weight she was retaining. Not only did she have a stroke, due to the excess strain on her body, but she was diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure as he had blown up the left ventricle of her heart. His idea of of treating the rents token of fluids aggressively was minimal IV diuretics, while he stood in her room watching a Packers game, and took only a couple pounds off in a matter of days. Fast forward a month later — over night she gained 5lbs, more fluid. When contacting his clinic she was told “you have a appointment next week” we’ll discuss it then. She went to the ER and the… next day was sent to the heart failure clinic. Her cardiologist, and her new/current Nephrologist, teamed up and did treat the fluid aggressively. In a matter or 2 days with the same IV drip at a higher dosing 75lbs of fluid were removed. Oh, and her congestive heart failure — which was caused by Dr Kraklow ( or Krackpot as we call him) ordering lymphadenopathy treatments which pushed fluid to her heart—was fully reversed. Today, she has been fully cleared cardiac wise & with the help of her new nephrologist has been able to stay stable in Stage 4 CKD and off dialysis. I truly believe had she stayed with him she would not be here today and I would caution anyone to think twice before considering this provider.
