A Louisiana native, Dr Smith received his medical degree from Louisiana State University - Health Science Center in New Orleans after earning a Bachelor of Science from LSU in Baton Rouge. He completed his internship and residency in General Surgery at University of Texas - Southwestern and Parkland Hospital in Dallas. He completed a fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular surgery at UT-Southwestern and is board certified by the American College of Surgeons. His interests include surgical and endovascular treatment of aortic aneurysms, peripheral and cerebrovascular disease, endovascular treatment of deep vein thrombosis and treatment of infected aortic and peripheral grafts.

Dr. William B. Landry, MD, is held in the utmost prestige amongst my family and myself when it pertains to the profession of Anesthesiology as a whole. With respect to all division areas of his specialty, from pain management and critical care medicine to pre-and post-operative care, also outpatient surgery. In regards to my second review as I was privileged to have Dr. Landry as my Anesthesiologist two times. The overwhelming knowledge Dr. Landry possesses to understand the entire human body as a whole unit before engaging in any operation is paramount to patient satisfaction and success. This review is in support of other medical colleagues working in unison with Dr. Landry to perform flawlessly. His ability to also provide and devise adequate treatment protocols based upon knowledge others in his field may overlook is truly remarkable. He always has respectfully relayed any concerns or methods he intends to employ or acknowledge regarding his patient as a safety-first protocol,… which my belief is his main concern always. Such factors will have and ensure the most positive response to your care with Dr. Landry based on my own previous experiences. There are a few doctors located on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi in which I will take the time out to review their performance, as it is something I do not take lightly. Future surgery is scheduled for me and I may only hope and pray to receive an Anesthesiologist as knowledgable as Dr. William B. Landry, MD again in my upcoming surgery.
