Dr. William Anthony Lanting, MD

I have never felt so inclined to write a review regarding a doctor's office staff, however I have never dealt with more incompetent people in my life. I have been on a medication for the past three years, one which I need to be on consistently and can not go without. But recently I have not been able to see my normal MD in CA, so I found Dr. Lanting. All I needed from this office in order to get a pre-authorization from my insurance were clinic notes stating that the doctor had seen me and that the medication is in fact working. My specialty pharmacy has been trying to get in contact with this office for the PAST MONTH, without anything in return. My pharmacy has proof of all the phone calls they have made and all of the correspondence, however Ashley is sticking to the story that she has not heard anything from my speciality pharmacy and that my insurance company just doesn't want to pay for my drug because it is too expensive. However, I have been on this drug for three years,… without paying one dollar out of pocket and have had absolutely zero problems with my insurance or with my pharmacy in ever getting it approved. My specialty pharmacy said they have had many problems with this office in the past and do not recommend me going there anymore if I want anything done. I am fed up with this entire situation, especially since at this point this office and Ashley in particular have been effecting my health and wellbeing by not doing their jobs.

It sounds rough? Yep! TWO times my husband has been waiting for assistance regarding getting approvals and paperwork for his allergy shots. First time he went 90 days without until I had to get ugly with the office staff because the MA kept saying they were faxing our local hospital. And our local hospital kept saying the did not receive it. After tracking it down-- the reality THAT time, was they did not fill out the paperwork for the insurance at all--had actually lost their ability to bill that insurance. Lied to us- blaming the hospital staff-- that one deliberately seven times. Fianlly got that one straightedned. Husband had major breakout and had to start the series he was almost finished with over once again. Then: Heaven forbid--got a different insurance carrier. Right away I called and gave the insurance information and confirmed our address--which had not changed. Dr. Lanting was on the insurance roll online so thought we were okay. He got paid for an office visit--so… thought we were okay. Then husband tried to get shot to find out the new insurance needed to approve once more. Okay. That was two and half months ago today. Supposedly paperwork was needed for HIM to fill out. They didn't give it to him while at a visit. Could not fax it to him or email it (technical issues on their side Dr.'s staff said). Said no less than FOUR TIMES it was getting mailed. Confirmed address once more. Nope. We are still at the same home. Asked to have them email once again. Nope. Can't do THAT. Will mail once more. One full week later--in Colorado as well--and still no supposed form that the patient is supposed to fill out(?!?!) I am betting lies once more. Apparently our complaints had the affect to prevent him from getting medical care AT ALL. Our primary medical doctor said to get another Allergist--maybe in Denver--sounds like staff is extremely poor, she said. She said will not be recommending Dr. Lanting again. Now my husband is having a miserable breakout ONCE again. Kept at bay by shots. I think he will end up in the hospital again, and getting Prednisone AGAIN. Today I called and was on hold for more than what it took to write this out. And supposedly the Office Manager is going to call me back because the Nursing staff is indisposed. Good grief. Stay AWAY FOLKS! It doesn't matter how good a doctor is if his support staff are irresponsible liars.

Dr. Lanting is nice as long as you agree with every recommendation he makes. If you question his recommendations, he won't give you any real explanation. Instead he'll tell you that he is following in his father's footsteps, that it is what he would recommend for his own child and that it is just the way it's done. If you still don't agree, he will roll his eyes at you. Unless you're happy to do everything your doctor recommends, go somewhere else.

dr, lanting has taken care of my asthmatic son since he was 4 months old, ,,,, i wouldnt have him today at 19 if my son didn't have him, he is a wonderful person and very smart about breathing and allergy's, i have out my sons life in his hands, and trust him 100 % we love you dr lanting ,

Best Doctor you will ever find! Dr Lanting is a "bulldog" when it comes to finding out what is wrong and how to fix it. He is the most amazing doctor I have ever known!!!

My son started seeing Dr. Lanting a little over a year ago...my son was an allergy/asthma mess. After allergy testing and trying different meds/different combinations, my son is finally feeling the best he has felt in his life. It wasn't an easy fix, he was very allergic to the environment, but Dr. Lanting stuck with us, he let me ask all the questions I wanted, and never made me feel like I didn't know what I was talking about. Dr. Lanting has four different offices so you have a better chance of getting into him sooner. We have been lucky to see him in our hometown a couple of times and the rest out of town. We take the out of town appointments and have fun days! Dr. Lanting is wonderful to my son, he talks to him, asks him the questions. His staff has been very good about taking our calls and returning our calls. My 12 year old would recommend him in a heartbeat.

In our fast paced world with cyber relationships and social media it is so heart warming to know there are still great doctors who care. Today is the second time Dr. Lanting has saved me. I am a professional motivational speaker and the "show must go on". I have asthma suffer every spring. Once he called in a prescription from the airport and today, on a Sunday, he took time to rescue me again, I have bronchitis and leave for Chicago tomorrow. Before I drove to see the strangers at the Stat-care I gave his office a call. His answering service was helpful and said they would page him. He returned my call in minutes and knowing my history was able to diagnose my symptoms and call in the medicine. When I asked if I needed to pay for the off duty call he said that it was not a problem. I just needed to get on his books for a follow-up so he could make sure I was OK. Seriously . . . I was ready to pay and he gave me his time on a week-end and the medicine I needed. I don't know about you… but that is the kind of service you just don't experience that often. I have tears in my eyes as I tell you that he is MY HERO! It is scary to be sick and know that you have to perform. I am so grateful to have a Doctor like William Lanting. I just wish they would give me more stars to give him.

Dr Lanting is so easy to talk to, takes his time and answers every question I have until I fully understand. He has a wealth of knowledge when it comes to asthma and allergies. His staff is wonderful, they are quick and attentive. Not only in the office but from the time I call to make an appointment.Thank you Dr Lanting and staff, I am so glad I found you!!
