Dr. William L Lasswell JR., MD

In my opinion: If you have been referred to this dr/office it could be in your best interest to find another provider. Does Dr Lasswell know what he’s doing? Probably, hopefully. But, I do not believe he has any clue how rude the office staff and “nurses” are to the patients. I say this based upon my own personal experiences and having witnessed upsetting interactions between other patients with said employees. Think about it, these will be the same people you will have to deal with. In fairness, I have only good things to say about the lab person I dealt with.

Worst Dr. Ever. He needs to retire. I had to find a new doctor to take care of my needs.

I came to Dr. Lasswell from another local doctor who is rated highly...... so I was used to good care. But Dr. Lasswell, and the staff, have exceeded my previous doctor......at least two-fold. Simply put, the program takes care of everything. Your blood is tested every three months and they often look at other areas besides diabetes. For example, one of their blood tests revealed that I had very low testosterone.... it is being addressed now by a doctor referred by Dr. Lasswell. And Dr Lasswell...... outstanding. Let me give you just one example... A few weeks ago, he had some new test results that I needed. I did not make it to the office... then, out of nowhere, I get a phone call from Dr. Lasswell (over the weekend!) inquiring about what I wanted to do with the test results. I asked him to fax them to the other doctor and it was done. GREAT DOCTOR........ PART OF A GREAT PROGRAM

The only response from questions is always the same: Numbers need to be between 80-150. No specific help beyond that. You have to go every three months in order to keep Insulin prescriptions. No other Diabetes physicians of any note except those in his practice in Vero Beach. Knows nothing about continuous glucose monitor systems or at least refuses to discuss them other then giving the approval when you contact a manufacturer on your own. Unfortunately, the physicians in his practice is all you can choose from.

Dr Lasswell is the kindest, most compassionate doctor I have ever known. He has me on the right path to managing my DM and HTN

Dr Laswell knows nothing about insulin pumps. He is not professional and spends less than 5 minutes with you. Being a type 1 diabetic for a long time I spent time telling him about new things that are on the market. Don't you think an endocrinologist should be up to date on what is happening in the field that he is supposed to be a professional in.

Have changed medications and feel much better than I have in a long time due to hypothyroid symptoms. He didn't just hand me medication and let it go; followed up afterwards.

Dr. Lasswell is like the little kid that wants you to play in his yard with his toys. But, if you ask him a question he'll turn on you, then make you out to be the bad guy. So childish! He is arrogant, pompous and has NO communication skills what-so-ever. What a waste of a good education that should have went to a much more deserving doctor...

Does not do anything about the problem at hand told to him by the patient. Ignores the patient comments about pain.

Exceptional compassionate Physician. My son has Type 1 Diabetes and he always helped him deal with this disease.
