Dr. William Paul Maier, MD

I waited two months for this appointment after being diagnosed by my primary care via X-ray with a serious condition. He told me that my scans from an emergency room visit I had recently showed no signs of this disorder. I asked if he saw the whole set of X-rays used to diagnose me initially and he acted like he didn't know so I got them from my car, the printed versions. He quickly pointed through each one to tell me how there is nothing wrong. I am so confused. I waited two months for relief or answers and understanding and left feeling like there was no hope. He was the first person I decided to tell I was feeling suicidal from this and he will be the last doctor I share that with.

Most unprofessional Doctor I have ever seen in my lifetime. It is obvious by his actions that he has been doing this too long. He is a cruel evil being that has no regard for a person's feelings. Pretty ironic as the profession he chose for his life is to help people. He is truly missing the mark. I wouldn't recommend him to my worse enemy.

Dr. Maier has an excellent bedside manner and treats his patients with respect. I especially like the fact that he calls you by your name, acknowledges the concerns of both the patient and the spouse and really listens. He properly diagnosed the situation and found a solution to the problem. I am very grateful to have such an adept and competent rheumatologist.

Dr. Maier is innovative and intelligent. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Maier has horrible patient communication and beside manner. He obviously does not understand Rheumatology or the consequences his patients suffer. His office staff is very nice and most appointments were seen within a reasonable time frame. I would not reccommend this doctor to my enemy.

When I came to Dr. Maier I was in intense pain and having difficulty walking. I had already seen 4 other doctors and still didn't know why, at 28 years old, I couldn't walk across the room on my own. After several tests I finally got my answer: Rhuematoid Arthritis. Dr. Maier worked diligently with me to find an effective medication, and even gave me free samples of the meds I needed until my insurance approved payment. I am pleased to report I am back to my normal life nearly pain free!!

I cannot imagine finding better care from anyone than I received from William Maier. He treats his patients like real, whole people, not just like medical problems. He is an excellent doctor and a compassionate, intelligent person.

Of the four rheumatologists I've seen in the past twenty years, Dr. Maier has the best combination of knowledge, experience, and bedside manner.
