Summary
Dr. Mason has placed over 2500 dental implants since completing his implant training in 1989. He has published eight articles in the Journal of the Michigan Dental Association and two others in national dental journals. Dr. Mason is a member of the Deans Faculty at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry, teaching in the Graduate Periodontics Clinic. He has lectured numerous times locally and performs surgical procedures at Delta College for the instruction of the dental hygiene students. Dr. Mason has developed and patented an instrument which helps make dental anesthesia more comfortable for the patient. He and his staff have continued to keep abreast of the many advances in periodontics and dental implants.
His professional affiliations include: American Academy of Periodontology, Michigan Society of Periodontists, Michigan Periodontal alumni Association, American Dental Association, Michigan Dental Association, Saginaw Valley and County Dental Associations.
Our office is …fortunate to have seven registered dental hygienists on staff with extensive experience in treating patients with periodontal disease and dental implants. All our hygienists have completed the necessary training and requirements to become certified to administer local anesthetics when needed for patient comfort and thorough treatment. They have completed the continuing education requirements and CPR certification necessary for licensure in Michigan.
Dr. Mason employs four full-time dental assistants, two of which are certified dental assistants, one registered dental assistant and one registered dental hygienist. Our dental assistants have 31 years of combined experience. The assistants work side-by-side with Dr. Mason providing four and six handed dentistry to his patients.
Dr. Mason, his hygienists and assistant are supported by three dedicated front desk office professionals. With over 17 years of experience in the dental or health care field, the front desk staff is a versatile team, proficient in managing the daily activities of a business.
The majority of Dr. Mason’s patients are referred by their family dentist. However, anyone is welcome to make an appointment if they have a concern with their TMJ (jaw joint) or are interested in replacing lost teeth with dental implants.
