Dr. William W Mayo-Smith, MD

Dr. Mayo-Smith attended medical school at Cornell University Medical College. He completed his residency in Radiology at The Massachusetts General Hospital followed by a Fellowship in Abdominal Imaging and Intervention.

After completing his Radiology training, Dr. Mayo-Smith was a faculty member in the Abdominal Imaging and Intervention Division at Massachusetts General Hospital for three years. He joined the staff of Rhode Island Hospital in 1995 and currently serves as the Director Body Imaging and Intervention and Medical Director of Computed Tomography at Rhode Island Hospital. Dr. Mayo-Smith is a Professor of Radiology at The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University and his research interests include Computed Tomography, Image Guided Intervention and Radiology Economics. Dr. Mayo-Smith has over 200 original papers, book chapters and abstracts in these areas of interest.
