Dr. William Ralston Mcgee II, DO

Dr. McGee is wonderful! After my daughter's ACL surgery he made sure she was ready to play soccer and didn't just sign her off because a certain amount of time had passed.

I had 6 wks of frustration after surgery trying to get into see this doctor before his scheduled timeline. This led to a severe frozen joint and manipulation. I will say, alright freezing is sometimes a complication and possibly he needs 6 wks to know for certain (however if a patient says hey something is really wrong, a doctor should pay attention.) After the manipulation my pain was EXCRUCIATING! I could not get an emergency visit with the doctor, pain medications were not called into pharmacies. I was told to go to an ER. When I finally saw this doctor, he referred me to pain management clinic and put me on morphine! He never even re-imaged the joint to look for problems. I saw another doctor. Re-did MRI and hey ligaments were torn that were not previously and amazingly after undergoing another surgery I only used pain medications for 3 days! My recovery has been quick and so pain free in comparison. I would not trust this doctor. Beware when choosing this man as… your doctor!

I have been dealing with problems in my left knee for more than 15 years, so trust me when I say I have seen my fair share of orthopedic specialists. Dr. McGee and the entire staff at Total Sports Medicine and Orthopedics is BY FAR the best I have ever had. After learning my previous doctor passed away, I was referred to Dr. McGee in need of an emergency appointment after injuring my knee. Within 48 hours of making the call, I was examined, diagnosed and scheduled for surgery. Dr. McGee was thorough, precise and personable - and knew what was wrong even before confirmation from the MRI. Unlike past doctors who all told me I had no hope for my knee - Dr. McGee not only diagnosed the problem, but assured me I would bounce back even better - and that is exactly what happened. The pain I lived with for several years is GONE! His assistant, Siana, was prompt in scheduling my appointments and making sure I had pain medication while I awaited surgery. They even had my first physical therapy… appointment scheduled and sent all the information via email so I had nothing to worry about after the procedure. The nurse, Susie, called me after hours to discuss my case and put a lot of my concerns at bay - and everyone at the office was polite and very helpful! The day of the operation there was a problem with my insurance and we were forced to switch hospitals. I was so worried the entire surgery would have to be re-scheduled - but Dr. McGee took care of everything and two hours later I was in the new location being prepped. Before we went back, Dr. McGee came in to see us and explained in great detail exactly what would happen. We found it to be very comforting and I went into the operation room feeling relaxed and worry-free. I am now two weeks post OP and my knee has never been better! If you have an injury - especially a sports injury - Dr. McGee and his staff at Total Sports Medicine is the team you want to see - no doubt! One more thing, I have never waited more than 15 minutes to be seen in that office - if you live in Las Vegas you know how rare that is. My experience with Dr. McGee was just excellent all the way around.
