Dr. William David Mello, MD

If you can get past the phone system and prescreening process and are able to score an appointment Dr Mello might be qualified. I lost all trust when i wasent able to make if off a goldnon the phone several times..so lost trust in this misrun pratice before getting an appointment so asking my provider for another more accessble doctor.

He is a smart old man but much more of a businessman than a doctor. So sad that he treats medicine as a moneymaker first and career second rather than the other way around. I don't think he cares about his patients, unless they have a lot of money and the best insurance.

1. I had to call three times to get an appointment because the doctor won't allow appts until he has read the referral docs. His staff always tell callers to call back at 3:30pm, but they close at 3:30. 2. Wait time was short. Glad he wasn't over booked. 3. Visit was inane. I had all of the my information, test results, medications, allergies, etc. He told me I didn't bring the correct lab results, said the treatment he recommended probably wouldn't work, but o it anyway. Come back if I want, or not.

Dr Mello saw me at the Medical Center and for a follow up visit. He was attentive, courteous, knowledgeable and very professional. His diagnosis was totally accurate and his treatment very effective. I plan to continue seeing him for my health problems.

My son is disabled and bedridden but lives at home with my wife taking care of him. His feeding tube fell out and we were going to have to call the ambulance to take him to e.r. I work in housekeeping at bthe hospital and so I called up Dr.Mello. He was very nice and drove out to my home and changed the tube. and didnt charge us anything. We gave him a cookie and he said that was enough. He is a very nice man to do this for my son.

Went to Dr. Mello on the recommendation of my PCP. I've had all kinds of Gastro problems and none of my previous doctors could figure out what was wrong. Dr. Mello took me into his office and started asking me lots of questions. He said that most times a diagnosis can be made by talking to patients. He ended up giving me a colonoscopy. It went very smoothly and wasn't painful like the one I'd had before. He told me what he thought was wrong and put me on some meds and now I'm feeling much better for the first time in years. Dr. Mello was calm, and seemed concerned about me. I highly recommend him.

The office staff seems to be okay, but the doctor is horrible. He is by far the most non-caring, jaded person I have seen in the medical field. He openly discriminates against people who are on an HMO with his staff (and other open ears in proximity). What's worse with this doctor is that he makes you feel like being sick is your fault! Needless to say, he didn't even figure out what was wrong with me because he screwed up the endoscopy.

I took my elderly mother to Dr. Mello. She has a lot of medical problems. He was very calm and patient with her. He was able to figure out her problem and put her on the right medicine. I recommend him highly.

He seemed inpatient and condescending during the patient interview process, and when we asked about alternatives for a long standing condition, he scoffed and said, "well, I can't solve this problem on the spot" which was not what we were asking for. He seemed annoyed to be talking with us at all. I don't know why he does this professionally if he can't stand people and can't muster any level of kindness or patience to people with a serious health issue.
