1982 Crude (as in rude) bedside manner at my very first OB visit, re: previous patient. Was late to Delivery Room at the "natural childbirth" of my first baby. Misjudged our progress and didn't even have his gloves on when he told me to "Go ahead & push." (It only took one). Offered no episiotomy, but did catch the baby & stich up all my tears with the words "not so hard," after the fact. 3 days later performed Emergency D&C due to hemmorging. In the recovery room, commented,"You sure woke up fast!" I wanted to tell him, "The angel (guide) told me you were waiting to see me. I looked down & saw you at my bedside." But, I was too groggy and had a scratchy feeling in my throat. "You gave us quite a scare! No more Mexican casserole before surgery!" he said. And the sweetest words, "Would you like to call your husband?" But, I shook my head, "No" as I wanted to go back to that wonderful place. "He's probably worried about you." "O.K." so I got to tell my husband all about my… Near Death Experience & he believed me! Fortunately, I received a message that has served me well throughout my life. My husband is a Saint and this will be our 39th Wedding Anniversary. He became a Dr. of Optometry there in Fullerton. And I got my BA in Vocal Music from CSUF. I went on to have 4 Children (different Doctors) and perfected the Art of La Maze breathing & relaxation! I'm now blessed with 9 adorable Grandchildren.
