I would give this office zero stars if I could. My husband was referred to this doctor from his primary care physician. It has been nothing but a nightmare from the first visit. He left with a year prescription and orders to come back for a follow up. He tried to reach the office for a year and was never able to get through. Always had to leave a message with no return call. Then his prescription ran out. He went back to primary care doctor who got ahold of the office and scheduled him a 2nd appointment. He was given 2 prescriptions at that appointment. He went to pharmacy and only one was called in and the other required more info from the doctor. After 2 weeks, I called the office and left a message. Never got a call back. I finally selected the option that I was a hospital or doctors office and I finally got through. The lady that answered told me the nurses were with patients and they would call me back. I waited a couple of hours and no call back. So I called again… and selected that I was a hospital again and this time they did not answer my call. So I used *67 making my number private and called again using the hospital extension and they answered. I insisted on speaking with a nurse. After waiting on hold for an extended Lydia answered and told me that they forgot to send one prescription and she would get that called in at that time and she said the other required a prior authorization but they had not done it because the insurance companies were not approving that medication for anyone. I called the insurance company and they said yes they would approve it as soon as they received the prior authorization. So I called the office back and left a message to which I never received a call back. Fast forward 2 week to today. I called again, had to use the hospital extension, got ahold of Lydia again. I explained the situation to her and she proceeded to tell me that in their experience the insurance companies are not approving that medication. I said can you please complete the prior authorization and we can see if they approve it. She then told me that girl, Sheena, that is doing them is running behind right now. I said a month behind. She said yes, at least 2 months behind. She said they had a girl that all she did was prior authorizations, but she quit so now they were all having to pitch in and do them. They get hundred of them a day and just can't keep up. She said the girl doing them now wears many hats. She said I could leave a message for her that she tries to listen to the messages at the end of each day. I find this totally unacceptable and appalling. I am calling my insurance company and our primary care doctor to complain.
