He is a Yakima doctor just like the hospital a joke

Standing in for regular doctor, pressured me for DNR on my grandfather during a yearly physical and then he took offense when I told him several times its not my decision to make. He said he works at the hospital and maybe I don't understand the implications. He's not understanding the words "it's not my decision to make". I then asked him if he wanted to convince the patient to say yes, and amazingly he replied "yes". I clearly believe the patient can think for himself and is an extremely hearing impaired, overall fairly healthy nonagenarian. I understand the concerns, and I expressed that to doctor, but I am not interested in doing this or being involved in this and at that point he started to belittle me. So he was told no by the patient, he came outside to my vehicle, and telling me I had better think about setting up PoA. In the parking lot and waiting room in public and away from the patient. I called both his wife and the PoA to inform them. 15 minutes later the doctor then… came into the waiting room and apologized and said that he assumed I was both power of attorney and caretaker.... because the patient spoke well of me. What?! It doesn't even make sense because he had told me earlier to consider setting up PoA when he flagged me out of my vehicle. It's so amazingly unprofessional that he would discuss it with me outside and in the waiting room. He could disclose information with me as a family member, but he's out in the parking lot being a fool. It's clear he believes that I simply do not understand the matter, and that the patient is also incapable of taking care of himself. Despite the patients audiologist saying he needs a surgery on his ear canal and despite me offering to clarify any questions loudly and clearly, this doctor seems adamant that he is confused. He didn't seem interested in speaking with the patient again, at one point he said to me "well he has hearing aids". I think our conversation is entirely non-productive before that point, he is not aware enough to understand this it isn't a matter of my morals or ethics or personal opinion. He could have called the spouse or the person who can legally make decisions on his behalf, but instead he refused to understand "It's not my decision to make".

Today, he was the attending at our local Yakima hospital. It was his first interaction with my mother who has been hospitalized for severe side effects of chemo treatment she is undergoing. She is very sick with Lymphoma and needs care. His question for her was, “What do you want to get out of this?” and stated, “Cancer is painful.” Of course it’s painful and she wants to kick cancers butt and not be in constant pain. This should be part of living in an age where there are many types of western medicine that should help with this. This is not empathetic nor helpful to someone like my mother who is lying in a hospital bed fighting for her life. Dr. MOULTRAY needs to have bedside manners and compassion for EVERY patient, regardless of the diagnosis.. Very disappointed and my mother is feeling defeated.

The things I love about Dr. Moultray is that I always feel like he really listens to me. He takes the time to explain things, is always friendly, and very professional. Dr. Moultray really walks the walk. He inspires me to be healthy, because that is the lifestyle he lives. This doctor is absolutely top-notch. I highly recommend him.

Dr. Moultray always takes time to listen and answer our questions. He makes my family feel like we are the only people there to see him. We also love that he loves his family and the Lord. Thank you Dr. Moultray!

Our family has seen Dr. Moultray for years. He is caring, compassionate, and very thorough. He gives many options so you feel like you are in control of your care and doesn't just shove pills down your throat. We love him!

When my daughter was hospitalized last summer, this dr was so in tune with what was going on and was soo good to us. He even came on his days OFF to make sure we were getting the attention needed. He is a very personal, caring man. VERY GOOD bedside manner. And he takes the time to answer any and all questions you may have. I HIGHLY recommend him to all of our friends.

seems more interested in discharging patients from hospital regardless of their medical condition. Based on personal experiance 3 times. If the insurance says 2 days, you're out of there bleeding on the floor or suffering from trama related dementia (not knowing who you are or who to call)
