Dr. William Anthony Peters III, MD

It is the 5 year anniversary since Dr. Peters removed the large cancerous tumor in my abdomen along with a hysterectomy. My 9” scar is invisible, as is the port scar. I’ve thanked him in my heart everyday, and honor my treatment by always doing the best for my body. He was compassionate and an excellent surgeon.

I had never met Dr. Peters in person before he did my surgery. My OB/GYN was in the middle of surgery when she determined my hysterectomy was not a run of the mill one and she called Dr. Peters to take over. Dr. Peters scrubbed in on his day off to finish a surgery on someone (me) he had never met. The surgery was long and difficult. I am now on the mend, healing quickly and am extremely grateful to Dr. Peters tremendous skill and expertise.

excellent surgeon even and I liked him too as a man. However, my dear Dr. Peters, I cannot give high marks to your tailoring skills. (If you would like your stomach to have meticulous, not so visible scar, you might want to discuss this with him beforehand).

I have suffered with a prolapsed bladder for years, been sent to therapists by my regular MD for exercises. Seemed like I was destined for pain and nobody listening to my previous history with chldbirth and surgeries. Dr. Peters was recommended to me by a Dr. Dickenson in Olympia, I saw Dr. Peters and ended up having a bladder lift. I went from not being to walk/run, or even stand for long periods of time due to pressure in my abdomen on my veins in legs to a new life. I am now physically active and feel like I did in my 20's. More women need to ask questions. He gave me my life back, I can't thank him enough. I am 56 years old and would highly recommend him to anyone. Thank you Dr. Peters.

I visted Dr. Peters after finding a large cyst in my abdomen. He performed surgery, staged it as I-C Ovarian Cancer and conducted a hysterectomy in order to remove it. He then prescribed chemotherapy and checked on me regularly throughout the 6 month period. It has been a year since I finished my chemotherapy. First of all, Dr. Peters is certainly experienced and knows exactly what he is doing. In hind sight, I do feel I was in very good hands when it came to the actual surgery.With regards to bedside manners, I would not describe him as the easiest to talk to and I always got the inevitable vibe that he is pressed with time. Having said that, when I went in with a long list of questions, he always took the time to thoroughly answer each one of them. In hind sight, I appreciate how cautiously deliberate he was with his word choice when describing the disease. He never game me that false sense of relief that all cancer patients claw for and I trust him all the more now for that cautious… deliberation. (He also has a wonderful nurse, Mary, who will dole out all the cheerleading that he can't do himself).
