Dr. William John Privitera, MD

I have been seeing Dr. Privatera since 2000. He answers all of my questions with a good depth of knowledge and ability to articulate to me everything I want to know about my treatment. He is readily accessible and calls me back promptly when I have questions or need med refills. He has been a great support to me in my treatment.

I have been seeing Dr. Privitera for 7 years. He is awesome. He is caring and is always available to see the patient. I am very thankful for finding this doctor. Due to the treatment, I have a happy life and wake up every morning with a smile on my face. I highly recommend him. Remember: you need to be patient while defining with the doctor the right medication for you. This is the tricky piece. In my case it took a year, BUT I never gave up. I knew it wasn't the doctor's fault, but the way my body responded to the drug. Stick to this doctor, be patient and most importantly, DO NOT GIVE UP.

I would not send anyone I care about to see him. He disregarded most of the things I said, and when presented with my family history, he dismissed the possibility my mental health was following suit. He prescribed the lowest, most useless dose of the very medication I told him did not work for me in the past. Waste of hundreds of dollars.

I have seen Dr Privitera since 2001 and he is knowledgeable up to date on current research and practice and has been very valuable to me in treatment and stabilization of my depression and sleep challenges. I credit him with the best tool in my healthcare.
