Dr. William George Raisig, MD

Staff is rude, clinic is unorganized, doctor doesn’t actually care about his patients. So much staff turnover you never see anyone consistently.

I have been a patient of Dr. Raisig since 2006. I am 75 years old. His preventative care has kept me healthy for many years. His cardiac care Exercise Physiologists diagnose and have planned exercise based on your evaluation. Dr. Raisig is top notch. We are fortunate to have him and his Nurse Practitioners in our town.

Five years ago, we moved from Atlanta to Ellijay and Dr. Raisig has been our primary care physician ever since. We have several difficult medical issues and trust him implicitly. He has helped us through many difficult illnesses. We do have to see an occasional specialist in Atlanta or Chattanooga, but he is our Ellijay Angel. He not only has a lab onsite but he also has his own pharmacy for basic meds which he prices very low. I think I paid $1.50 for two weeks of amoxycillin last winter. He cares.I'll never be able to thank him enough for the times he worked me into his schedule when I couldn't stop coughing, my husband injured his back, etc. Dr. Raisig could practice medicine anywhere but he wants to help people in our rural community. We have never had a bad experience with him. Only lots of positive ones. Currently his hours have changed because he is helping his wife through a difficult illness. Nonetheless, he is still working all he can - for Ellijay and the surrounding… communities.

The Dentons are very happy to have discovered Dr. Raisig. He does not constantly send one to 'specialists' but solves your healthcare needs himself. Great doctor, great staff!!

My husband and I went to him for a year. we paid our deductible. never got a bill. We moved to Florida and 6 months later we each get a bill. the office visit quote was not what i was charged. I don't think they submitted mine to medicare. Now they have submitted it to a collection agency. Don't trust them

Dr. Raisig misdiagnosed me and this caused me to be sick for two weeks (got secondary infection due to primary infection not being diagnosed properly). I would have been well within a few days if I had been correctly diagnosed.

I would definitely recommend Dr.raising to anyone. He is very frendly and cares about his patient's health. He takes the time to listen to his patients problems. And as far as his staff they are also very friendly. He is the best Dr.I have been to in a long time. :):)

Dr. William Raisig is a good doctor as far as listening to your problems and spending time with you and answering your questions. I have had several problems with my children not getting their medications called or faxed in to the pharmacy when I was told they would be and my kids being sick all weekend since it was on Friday and their office is closed on weekends. Also Dr. William Raisig has miss diagnosed my children on several occasions. His staff has always been very friendly to me and my children, but I would NOT recommend this doctor to anyone with small children! I am currently seeking a board certified pediatrician with more experience with children.

I think Dr. Raisig is a wonderful doctor. The wait time tends to be a little long but once you are in with him you do not feel rushed and he listens. My son loves seeing him. My only complaint is that his front desk staff is not very friendly and not the best at getting messages to Dr. Raisig or returning your calls.
