Dr. William Jay Ravich, MD

I was sent to Johns Hopkins when the Dr in my area could no longer help me in fear he would damage my esophagus. Dr. Ravich took my case. He has been a God send! I would highly recommend him, best gastroenterologist around! Straight forward and tells it like it is. I truly appreciate it!

This self-proclaimed world authority is the worst. He perforated my wife's esophagus and when she got gravely ill failed to return our call. Was extremely rude and dismissive prior to procedure. She wishes she had trusted her original instinct to walk out of the office

Dr Ravich is a lifesaver! No one in the areas that I live could help me. I was constantly nauseated, vomiting, and in alot of pain. Furthermore , I had extreme swelling in my abdomen. One specialist at a highly recommended hospital suggested that I was a forty year old female and on the overweight side and should see a pain clinic to learn to deal with it. In the meantime my problem got so bad I was vomiting blood. I was sent to Dr Ravich by a wonderful allergist in our area. After my first very thorough appointment, I left with no answer but a promise of a call. Within two hors I received my first call with two more calls the same day. The doctor himself called and spoke with me about his plans for treatment. All the test and procedures were scheduled at a convenient place for me and I'm thrilled to say that in spite of some occasional relapses I feel better than I have felt in years. I feel that God sent me to Dr Ravich and I will always be grateful

He is the best. I recommend him to everyone. My local doctors couldn't find out what was causing my constant vomiting and diarehha for over a year. Within two visits, he found the problem and recommended the medication that stopped it for the last eight years.

Incredibly smart. Not especially warm, but very caring about wanting patients to get excellent care. The best gastroenterologist I've ever seen. Highly recommended for problems that have challenged other doctors.

Was very rude and had no time to listen to the problems that my daughter was having. Said he would take five days to review any test that were done. Very frustrating and was of no help at all.

In my opinion Dr. Ravich is the best. My mother who is 83 years old weighed 79 and was having trouble swallowing. He fixed the problem and she started gaining weight. Three years later she was having the same problem but didn't tell anyone until it was an emergency. Dr. Ravich was called and was at the hospital the next morning to do the procedure and she is again doing very well. He is an excellent doctor and also very caring.
