Dr. William Washington Reed, MD

Dr. Reed has been helping me deal with me SLE Lupus. He is the only doc that has been able to get it under control. His staff is always friendly and great to visit. I have never had an issue with Dr. Reed or his staff.

I have been a patient of Dr. Reed for some time now. Dr. always takes his time with me. He listens to my concerns.

First it took me 5 months to get in to see this Dr. My options were limited since he is the only provider taking Tricare Prime patients. In that time they did not get any of my previous records even though I had to fill out a detailed 10 page new patient form. I get in there and he does less of an exam than any other specialist I've ever been to. I have a previous clinical diagnosis of RA. Yet when I got in to his exam room he asked a bunch of questions that only my providers would know how to answer. He then asked if I had copies of my xrays and medical records dating 10 years back on me. He says "you have me stumped, look this up online (hands me a paper with another auto-immune condition), says go talk to an endocrinologist, and then says I might be predisposed to deteriorating joints. I asked "all of them at the same time" and he said yes. That's pretty much the definition of the early stage disease when the marker is not present. Drew 8 vials of blood, prescribed no medication and… said come back in 4 to 6 weeks. The next appt was 2 months out. When I told his nurse I would not be able to make that appt due to a move she got rude. Thank god I'm moving because I would hate to return.

Very cold and careless about his patients. I didn't feel important much like I was worth his time. Didnt explain any reasoning behind his answers for my issue. He really didn't seem to know what was going on with me. His staff is awesome makes me wonder how they feel about him. I do not wish to go back to him. Will reschedule with another doctor.
