Dr. William G Revethis, MD

So, never saw him before and walked in for a physical and would never see him again. I am in the medical field myself and will not go into the details. Believe the past reviews, especially the one that states, I would not take my dog to see him. This guy is about money.

Agitated Dr. short tempered make you nervous yourself. Only allow 10 grace period not 15 like other doctors. Raised my BP more than my Health it self. Started off great. Research because I didn’t.

He is quite knowledgeable about his field. Does exhibit impressive medical knowledge. Yet he can be a bully and quite confrontational. I have called him out on that but he has not modified his behaviour. I am not comfortable with this man and am looking for an alternative internist who cares about his patients and demonstrates patience and eagerness to assist. That is lacking.

very disappointed,,,,,,,,,had a Loyola Md for 30 years, but her off lacked in my needs,,,so when to another Loyola MD, Have many medical Issues,,,,,,on blood thinners and had a recent fall,,,,,,,,,,arm, and, almost left side of body so black and blue, plus a gash in rite eye, that bleed and bleed,,,,,,,, Yet he only spent maybe 10 minutes with ne,,,,,never looked at my extensive bruining and tole me I need to be 'more careful', and see him in 3 months! Don't know how much Medicare or my supplement will pay for,,,but I need a B12 Shot once a month , so scheduled,,,,and I need to have my Blood Thinning meds evaluated,,,,,,,but don't know how much I trust him, for his disconern of what I am dealing with , and , what just one place on my front, thrust clothing was his 'exam' of me? I have to tolerate it at this point, but will call Medicare to see if I am able to go elsewhere!

He is one of the worst drs I have ever been to. He would prescribe me any pills. He wanted me to see an endo but I was running out of thyroid meds and he wouldnt prescribe me any. I have also been taking xanax for the last 20 years and he wanted me to stop cold turkey. Luckily I am seeing a new dr because this dr will keep you sick.

Dr. Revethis is not only an excellent physician, but he really cares about his patients. The level of care he provides is outstanding.

The worst doctor I've ever had - period. When first seeing him, I gave him a list of prescriptions I had been taking. I made the mistake of not initially telling him that I required 90 day supplies. When I did tell him, he gave me a dirty look and grudgingly redid the prescriptions. He also had been checking my PSA values. The second time he saw the PSA number he said the value had risen slightly (a few tenths). He told me to have a prostate biopsy performed. I had this grueling procedure performed shortly thereafter. The urologists said my results were perfectly normal. He wondered out loud why in the world my PCP - Revethis - would put me through this procedure for nothing! My advice? Stay far, far away!

Great physician. Good bedside manner and follows through in your medical care.
