Dr. William David Rumbaugh, MD

I have been force medicated for 20 very long years and I have fought the battle against medication the entire time. I don’t trust any medical professional nor am I comfortable in the presence of uniformed anyone due to the deep trauma that comes from being forced into treatment and mine is off the hook. I have to admit that I think divine timing was about because once I was able to communicate without being a complete disaster for days something seemed to click for each of us and I am so grateful to him for his support and treatment he is the psychiatrist we in the community of psychiatric victims have been waiting for. He literally changed my entire view of the blanket belief that they are all just making stuff up and guessing while we take the neurotoxins prescribed. I am honored to have been his patient and he has made it so that I am no longer afraid to ask for the help if I need it in the future because I trust Dr. Rumbaugh and that is a gift to me an entire layer of the trauma… related to going to the hospital and to see it as a place to heal. He’s actually amazing!

Like many psychiatrists, he appears more interested in completing large amounts of paperwork with little thought of how to help and care for the patient other than medicating..
