Dr. William Scott Sageman, MD

Dr Sagemen works in the ICU, so not all of these things apply. But he is much more positive then some of the other doctors I've interacted with. He also seems to respect patients, in that he will talk to the patient directly as well as family and in an age appropriate way (not treating an adult like a child). He does seem to spend less time with patients than other doctors, but over all I like him and trust his judgment.

This guy is a self important A. My wife was dying and he actually said this to me (Title) in the heat of deciding my wife's death. I knew she wanted to die and had been seeking that for a long while. He again made assumptions concerning my wife knowing he could heal her and make her whole again. I tried to say this was not the case but once the decision was made by the professionals there was no going back. This Dr. Is one of those that should find different work or step back and take a good hard look at his behavior. They said she was still young and could live if I let them do their jobs. All they did was stop her death and pump her body up so she was relatively strong again (she hadn't looked that healthy in many years the night she left this world) so she could go through the pain of dying again five days later. I too am going to file a complaint with St. Joeseph's.

But Sageman did perform quality care, for which I am very grateful, but I am quite unhappy about his documentation. Obtaining my records from St Joes Hospital where Dr Sageman was one of my doctors, I was alarmed at the amount of incorrect entries in his documentation of my care. Some are errors, some are negative judgements towards myself that he made based on assumption, rather than fact; Contempt prior to investigation. Very unprofessional. I intend to take this to his superiors at the hospital.
