Delayed cancer diagnosis by weeks, didn’t look into the problem AT ALL... does the bare minimum to push you out the ER ASAP.

Despite being in network with my insurance, this physician still billed me for the remainder of a $500 bill. He and his office were told by the insurance company that per his contract he was not to Bill the patient the outstanding fee, however he not only billed me but sent me to a collections agency. You shouldn’t contract with insurance plans doctor if you don’t like the reimbursement. I had no choice but to see this physician since he was the covering ER doctor at Shore Memorial.

Dr Schumacher has now treated my wife in the Shore Memorial Medical Center twice. My wife has a few medical issues that create a challenge. Dr Schumacher is a gifted ER Doc who is quick to access a complicated condition and treat it effectively. His bedside manner is excellent. He is a very caring and compassionate Doctor who treats patients and family with the greatest dignity and respect.
