Dr. William W Shelton

Not only did Dr. Shelton spend his entire exam yammering in my ear about how I need certain dental work and how I'm choosing to 'hide my head in the sand', and neither he nor his assistant do the cleaning, but when his office sent me an appointment reminder, I tried to cancel THREE TIMES before finally calling them to cancel. When I told Jennifer the receptionist that I responded to their first reminder two weeks prior, she claimed that they were busy and didn't notice. After two weeks??? Then she let out an exasperated sigh and hung up on me. And people complain that they can't find jobs??? They can't even do the jobs they have. Former Patient for a Good Reason - March 05, 2025

Dr. Shelton and staff had no concern for my welfare or comfort. When I asked questions I was often ignored or dismissed, and even outright teased by Dr. Shelton himself. I brought up the fact that I was having much more pain in one area at both follow-up visits. He laughed and said he thought it was fine. Over a year later I still have significant discomfort and occasional pain in that area, and don’t know what to do. My dentist is unhappy with the result, but hasn’t offered me any solutions, so I’m just stuck with pain, anxiety, and confusion. The Treatment Coordinator bullied me into IV sedation by threatening to cancel my surgery if I didn't get it, even after Dr. Shelton said oral sedation was fine. I spent more than my entire 2020 income on this procedure, and am left feeling ripped off and hopeless.
