Dr Sheppard listens to his patients and carefully reviews his patients records to ensure proper continuation of care. Requests for diagnostic imaging and prescriptions are filled immediately after patient interaction.

The ladies in the office were wonderful. Attentive, quick, personable and kind. The Dr was fine until I read the visit notes. I saw symptoms I explicitly noted to be present noted as none. This discouraged me greatly

Great Dr and a great person..more personable than blank stare professional..almost like a family member .. even saved my life basically. After a car accident in '23 that put me in the hospital in petoskey for almost a month. After surgery there i was finally able to go home and my long time Dr was retiring and the clinic in curtis was blooming and l was still having severe pain n complications from my accident so made an appointment with him..he listened to what I was suffering and asked questions and examined me and called the hospital in mano n talked to the ER and let them know I was on my way . There i had MRI'S/CTs whichever it was THAT time? ... and they found i had a torn pancreas that had been missed through all the hospital staying n tests..etc and within a couple hrs I was departing manistique airport being life flighted to Henry Ford in Detroit.. a week later I was back in curtis and still healing and dealing but in pain still and again dr Sheppard had me immediately go… to manistique ER and again more imaging and they found a torn gallbladder was missed..so again within hrs I was flown to Henry ford.. couldn't do much because removing my gallbladder i could have bled out due to my fragile pancreas.. so just waiting on mother nature ..but he also ordered an upper GI i had to go to MQT for and that revealed i had a large grapefruit sized cyst in my pancreas..so been a long wait but hopefully after may I can finally have that surgery..been a long road and i probably would have drove off a cliff a long time ago if he didn't get me pointed in the right direction

Dr. Sheppard is great with my kids. He explains things in an age appropriate way so they're not scared. He doesn't rush visits and truly cares.

Dr Sheppard is a great physician! He addressed my issues that I was having and promptly gave a diagnosis and solution. He's always been great like that. I'm so blessed to have him as my primary dr.

Dr. Sheppard is the best. He has been my primary for over 5yrs. He and his nurse Sue are amazing. If he doesn't hesitate in referring a specialist, if needed. He takes the time to listen to you. He truly cares about his patients. I am extremely thankful to have him for my primary physician.

He helps me to understand more about what could be happening in my body and mind. Reassuring and understanding.

Dr. Sheppard clearly cares about us. He listens. He assesses carefully. He makes sensible suggestions and gives alternatives. Highly recommended.

Dr. Sheppard has been the most caring, thorough doctor I've ever been to in my life. My kids love him and are not afraid of him like they are of other doctors. He actually sees his own patients in the hospital instead of referring to a hospitalist, he isn't afraid to refer to someone who might be better able to help you if he isn't sure of something. I couldn't ask for better (except maybe an office staff that cares more, but that's the hospital's problem, not his)
