William Shimer, PT, DPT

After previously competing in athletics at the varsity HS and collegiate Division III levels, William knows how important it is to have skilled, knowledgeable guidance when rehabilitating an orthopedic injury. He draws on this experience when providing care to the general orthopedic population. William graduated from Moravian College with a B.S. in Biology and earned his Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University. He has been treating at the Bethlehem Township office since 2010 and is a Board-Certified Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics since 2015. He is a strong believer in physical therapy treatments that are both evidence-based and individualized to each patient. William has competed in distance running races for over 20 years at the high school, collegiate, and local levels. In his spare time, William has completed 3 marathons, 9 half-marathons, over 20 10K, and over 100 5K races. William specializes in the treatment of all orthopedic conditions including …TMJ dysfunction as well as a particular emphasis on short, middle, and long-distance runners across the spectrum of ages and abilities.
