William Shimer, PT, DPT

I am an Orthopedic Physical Therapist with a Doctor of Physical Therapy degree from Thomas Jefferson University, and a bachelor’s degree in Biology from Moravian College. I specialize in the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic conditions in adolescents and adults, with a strong emphasis on evidence-based diagnosis and individualized care.
My approach focuses on educating and empowering patients with the knowledge and tools they need to manage their condition and take an active role in their recovery. I enjoy helping patients improve function, reduce pain and return to the activities that are most important to them.
Drawing from more than two decades of experience as a competitive distance runner at high school, collegiate and local levels, I also have a special interest in treating running-related injuries and helping runners safely return to training and competition.
