Dr. William Thomas Simonet, MD

I have 3 physicians saying I cannot work at all because of multiple tears in my knee That are confirmed by several m r i's. He Works for work comp companies. He did not even examine me and said I could go back to my physical job with no restrictions even though I had multiple tears in my knee.

Dr. Simonet has been treating my husband and me for many years since we moved to Minnesota. He is always professional, thorough and answers all our questions. We are glad he continues to practice, but sorry to know he is no longer doing surgery. Happy Ssemi=retirement, Dr. Bill.

Usually no waiting, called in early or on time. Throughly explains how condition knees are in. Makes suggestions on what to do. Very kind, professional. Do tell others re: TC. ORTHO and my Drs. There.

He came to my hospital room for about three minutes. I did not ask for him. We had a nice chat for a few minutes and he left. I can hardly wait to see what size is the bill he sends to my insurance company for this ”no treatment “ visit.

My bones apparently healed as expected but a year and a half later, I continue to experience significant ankle discomfort and extreme stiffness. I brought his up to Dr Simonet early on and he quickly dismissed my concerns and said just get out there and walk, walk walk. Not happy.

Dr. Simonet was the on call orthopedic surgeon for Fairview Southdale Hospital when I dislocated and fractured both bones in my left ankle, the tibia and fibula, called a bimalleolar fracture, which is was severe. Both he and his Physician Assistant were excellent, and he did a wonderful job surgically repairing my ankle, and very happy with my post-op care. While I got him as my Orthopedic Surgeon by chance, by him being on call, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend him to anyone! He makes me laugh when I have seen him in follow-up after the surgery, asking how my "special ankle" odd doing, as I now have a plate and many screws in it.

I had the opportunity to receive my total knee replacement from Dr simonet. I am currently 20 days post-op and I have been very happy with the experience up to this point. Dr. Simonet made himself extremely available and answered all my questions prior to surgery. He met with me prior to surgery and visited me early each morning in the hospital after my surgery. I am thankful to have Dr. Simonet and all members of his staff, walk with me as I go through my recovery and I am confident that my experience will be a positive one.

CAUTION!!! Do not use! Does sham medical exams for insurance companies and lies! If you have to use, make sure to have a witness and a video recording.

Do yourself a favor and skip over this guy! This guy will happily do your surgery and after it's over treat you like a drug addict. You are expected to be on pain meds for 4-6 weeks after a Total Hip Replacement and that's a fact. A week after surgery when we called for a refill of 5mg of Percocet he told my wife and I NO. We would have to fight this guy everytime to get a prescription filled. Needless to say i was off of the narcotic in 3 weeks vs the 4-6 which i definitely needed for rehab. He does not listen to you at all and continuiously talks over you. The last time I talked to him about my pain he basically told me to shut up! When i consulted his management they told me that they are under scrutiny from the state because of Prince's death. Give me a break! This Dr. is manipulative and mean. Please, Please, to anyone thinking about using this doctor. Do your research and read the reviews on him. There are a lot of reviews on him and they are very poor to say the least. I only… wish i would have taken my own advice. I am 7 weeks post surgery and have many issues with my hip and am only 42 years old. Good Luck!
