Dr. William John Simons, MD

Dr. Simmons is caring person and very good at determining what medication is best for you. He has helped me for years with my depression. His care has prevented me from being depressed for years.

If I could give Dr. Simons 10 stars, I would. He was able to bring me out of the worst illness of my life. He stuck with me rather than throwing up his hands and giving up when my illness was stubborn. He has been kind, compassionate, a good listener, and brings a wealth of knowledge to each situation. He is truly a brilliant doctor. I’m so thankful to have found Dr. Simons. After being sicker than I knew possible, I am now enjoying very good health. He was a Godsend for me.

Dr. Simons has taken care of my elderly father for years. He has practiced in a variety of specialties and brings all of that knowledge with him to his practice of psychiatry. He is not rushed, and listens to my dad at each visit.

Dr. Simons is a pioneer to me. He does not give up. I have been seeing him for over 8 years and travel 250 miles one way to see him. He is worth the trip. He always takes as much time as needed. He treats the mind and the body and knows exactly how medications work together. He is the first doctor (after seeing doctors for over 8 years before him) to correctly diagnose me with bipolar disorder, ptsd, and others. His treatment plan has been exceptional and successful. He is like my saving grace. He literally has saved my life. He is brilliant.

Dr. Simons is absolutely medically brilliant and board certified in more than one field of medicine, He has treated me now for 3 years with excellence and a diagnosis and treatment that finally led to my turn- around from years of misery to an excellent new life without misery. I am eternally grateful. Without this doctor I cannot imagine where I would be now. Thank God for a doctor who did not give up on me.

Dr Simons is a very good doctor. He is concerned about me and my overall health. He works with other health care professionals in ways to see that I get great care. He helps me to be able to figure out how effective different treatment options could be for me. If pharmaceuticals are involved, he aids me in understanding their effects both positive and negative as well as how to be able to afford them. Dr Simons answers health care questions or helps me find resources to aid in my understanding them more fully so I can be in charge of my care. He looks at me as a whole person and not just as a symptom. Dr Simons is eager to follow me to help insure that my health and wellbeing is optimized. Dr Simons is easy to understand and talk to about all issues. He helps my family understand my condition and my treatment. I highly recommend Dr Simons.

Dr Simons is an excellent doctor. He has always listened to me and my family members. He is easily contacted between appointments to answer questions or address concerns. He is intuitive and creative in his approach to my treatment. He has provided me with excellent referrals to other physicians to treat various health issues I have had. He is concerned with my overall health and well being. He has helped me more than any other doctor on a continuing basis.

I have had the unfortunate experience of having met so many psychiatrists over the last 15 years. However, this does give me the basis for a solid comparison to others in his field. He is the most compassionate dr., he is generous with his time, he always f/u w/ a call or e mail. He is more tenacious than a pit bull when diagnosing and resolving a tricky problem. Dr. Simons is also a powerful patient advocate. I am most fortunate to have had him as my doc for about the last decade. I rely on him 100%.

I suffer from depression and have seen a dozen psychiatrists over the years. Dr. Simons took a very detailed history of my mood and explained how my mood disorder was not easily classified. He came up with a treatment regimen that finally worked. He took me off most of my antidepressants, which were, in retrospect, making me both sad and grouchy. I feel like a new person and have Dr. Simons to thank
