Dr. William George Smith JR., MD

Dr. Smith is knowledgeable, practical, and kind. I especially appreciate the amount of time he grants me in the office and he is also responsive when I have questions/concerns outside of an office visit. Nothing but the highest marks!

Dr. Smith was a GOD SEND for me! My Primary care Dr. (the PA rather, never saw an MD at that practice) would NOT listen to me explaining my symptoms. My TSH was at a level 2.5 so "since I was in the range, I was GOOD". Well I still didn't feel well. She told me I needed to see a Therapist so I did. FIrst thing the Therapist asked was "why isn't an Endocrinologist treating your Thyroid?" I told her that she would NOT give me a referral, that she sent me to her, the Therapist. Therapist then told me to go back to PA and DEMAND a referral. After a 30 minute "argument" on the phone about how "these types of issues are usually treated in Primary care facilities", I DEMANDED a referral which she finally gave me. The FIRST time I met Dr. Smith, he asked questions, did not do a blood test, but was able to determine from our conversation that I was NOT good at level 2.5 and he keeps me around 1 which is the optimal level for ME. Everyone is different. Dr. Smith has stayed very proactive with my… condition and I thank God every day for him!

Not happy with this doctor and the way that information was presented to me. I hate to give a bad review, but, I must.
