Dr. Snyder and Internal Medicine Associates would be the absolute primary reason that we would never consider leaving Charleston in our latter years. Dr. S and this group have provided care above and beyond for decades. Once in a lifetime, folks are privileged to have such physicians... count us beyond lucky!!!

Now that I am 71, my friends and I talk more about our ailments. I do not know if we just have more ailments, more time to talk about them, or fewer activities to occupy our minds. I am the healthiest of the bunch because Dr. Snyder stays on top of any new symptoms that arise. As a result of his proactive care, there have been several problems that were identified and treated at an early stage. My father died at 54 of colon cancer, my brother died of ALS at 61, and my mother died at 68 with two strokes. I am the only one left and can find only one common denominator in my famiy's deaths-they did not have Dr. Snyder as their caregiver. He has been able to help me to move carefully through my "mine field" of genes. Something will eventually hit me but my quality of life and peace of mind have been enhanced as the result of his care. God bless him and all the other caregivers that enable us to live a joyful life.

outstanding doctor and caring person

My husband and I were very worried getting into our 40's and knowing that our internist was going to retire. He introduced us to Dr William H. Snyder who was just joining his practice. I have a bunch of allergies and my husband is stubborn and does not like to go to the doctor. Well Dr. Snyder sure takes his time to get right to the problem and take care of it. He also does not mind taking his time and calling you at home or where ever he has to hunt you down to go over tests, medication or what ever needs to be done. Which today is such a rare deal for a doctor to do his job and not dump it on his assistant. If you really have a medical problem he will jump in there and figure it out. Not just let it go. He is a great find. He also has some real bright well trained partners so you don't have to be afraid of him taking a day off or not being on call if you have to go to the hospital or the office on his day off. It is so nice to know that you have a Doctor that hopefully you… will out live and that actually Studies and DOES medicine instead of practice medicine and goes to the next cubical with nothing solved.

Dr. Snyder is a rare treasure. My husband & I have been going to him for 10 years now. His staff is professional & caring,& very expierenced. Dr. Snyder personally calls you himself to go over any problems or questions you may have. He's very thorough in his exams, & always right on with his diagnosis. If something is out of his area of expertise, he's not afraid to tell you, & get you in to see a specialist. After your exam with him, he takes you into his personal office to go over the results. Should you need to be in the hospital, you can count on him to be there to see you every day, & spend the amount of time with you that he needs. The longest I've had to wait to see him was 1/2 hr, & that was because he had an emergency situation & couldn't leave the patients side until the ambulance got there. Even then, he sent someone to let me know what was going on. Another thing that makes him stand out, is that you have to present your info to his staff, & he makes a decision whether to… accept you or not. I appreciate the logic in this, because he 1) wants to make sure he is the right Dr. for you. 2) wants to make sure he has a manageable case load. I truly believe you won't find anyone better than Dr. Snyder!
