Dr. William Benno Steinmetz, MD

Went to emergency room in an ambulance, had a tree limb fall on me and broke 5 ribs with one of the broken ribs punctured my lung , I couldn’t breathe. The nurses couldn’t believe he wasn’t going to x ray me so I ask him for x rays I said something is broken I can’t breathe, he got really mad and said all I needed was pain pills and go home . Went home couldn’t breathe it was terrifying so I went back to same emergency room two days later and got a different doctor that first thing x rayed me and found the broken ribs and collapsed lung . I was admitted to hospital for the next 4 days. I ask for patient advocate to talk to me about Dr Steinmetz and what he did and how he acted , the next day the patient advocate came back after speaking with nurses on staff at my first visit and she apologized and told me everything was going to be no charge , everything even the ambulance ride and stay in hospital, this was the worst experience I’ve ever had with a doctor, he should not be practicing… anywhere he is incompetent. Please find another doctor
