Dr. William Stephens is a board-certified foot and ankle surgeon specializing in reconstructive surgery, limb preservation, sports medicine, trauma care, and general podiatry. He provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for patients of all ages, from children to seniors, with a focus on restoring mobility, improving function, and helping patients stay active. His clinical interests and athletic background help him understand the needs of athletes, active individuals, and patients recovering from foot and ankle injuries.

Education and Training

Originally from South Africa, Dr. Stephens immigrated to the United States at a young age and …developed a passion for athletics and sports. During his senior year at Justin Northwest High School, he decided to pursue a career in podiatry. As one of three tri-sport lettermen in the class of 2008, he competed in cross country, track, and soccer—experiences that shaped his appreciation for physical performance, injury prevention, and recovery.

He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of North Texas in Denton before receiving his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine degree from Kent State University College of Podiatric Medicine in Independence, Ohio. He then completed his surgical residency at Hackensack Palisades Medical Center in North Bergen, New Jersey, where he received advanced training in the surgical management of complex foot and ankle conditions.

Community Commitment

After completing his training, Dr. Stephens returned to his hometown of Justin, Texas, to serve the community where he grew up. He is committed to making quality podiatric care accessible to families, athletes, and seniors throughout the northwest Dallas–Fort Worth area, including

Personal Interests

Outside of his practice, Dr. Stephens enjoys staying active through soccer, running, swimming, and rock climbing. His combination of advanced surgical training, personal athletic experience, and commitment to his local community reflects his dedication to helping patients move comfortably, recover confidently, and return to the activities they enjoy.
