Meet Dr Stewart
In 1980, Dr. Stewart and his wife moved back to Spartanburg and opened the dental practice where they have been practicing ever since. He is a member of the American Dental Association, Piedmont District Dental Society and Spartanburg County Dental Society. He is a former President of the Piedmont District Dental Society.
“The thing I enjoy most about dentistry is being able to serve families for generations. I see the kids of kids I saw in my practice in the 1980s. I love that,” he says.
Dr. Stewart and his wife are active in their church, First Baptist Church of Spartanburg. He is a former Chairman of the Board of Deacons and has been the director of 8th Grade Sunday School since 1980. Dr. and Mrs. Stewart have three children—Kristen, Creighton and William—and two granddaughters, Hannah and Caroline. All three of the Stewarts’ children are alumni of Dr. Stewart’s alma mater, Wake Forest University in Winston-Salem, N.C. His son, William, is following in his footsteps …as a dentist, attending the Medical University of South Carolina College of Dental Medicine.
When Dr. Stewart is away from the office, he enjoys sports and the outdoors, participating in slalom water skiing, running, snow skiing, golfing, gardening and boating.
