We had the best experience with Dr. Strand and his staff. We were told our son had hypospadias at birth by the on-call pediatrician. This was confirmed by our personal pediatrician who then recommended Dr. Strand. From our first meeting, through follow-up, Dr. Strand and his staff was genuinely kind and compassionate. We felt comfortable with him doing our son's procedure. We found him to be meticulous, and believe he truly wanted the best for our son. If only more doctors had his bedside manner! We felt fortunate to have been referred to Dr. Strand, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him.

This man worked on my son many years ago! And I personally believe it was all about personal gain to him. The surgery cost over 80,000 American dollars. The surgery he had preformed has given my son all kinds of complications. Nothing but problems. He claimed the reason for doing the surgery was to get him ready for a kidney transplant. So we gave him the go ahead. So after he did the kidney transplant we were not happy with him or the Dallas hospital. So when it came time to transplant him we took him to Mayo Clinic in Rochester Mn. They preformed the kidney transplant there. They surgeon who preformed the transplant said after he got inside him that there was so much scar tissue left from the surgeon before that had been left, it took longer than a normal kidney transplant. His perfect kidney that his Mother had donated only lasted him for a couple of years. The reason is because of what this man had done to him. Now after many years on dialysis this young man never never got… another transplant because of his skill's. Don't let Dr Frankenstein here or his team get a hold of your child or his team. He and his team might have helped a few out there but I would not let him or recommend him or that team to anyone!!!

Dr Strand has performed surgery on two of my grandsons so you can count this review as two 5’s! He has a fabulous personality and he is a very careful and cautious surgeon who takes his time with your child. We highly recommend him!

I can't tell you what we think of him personally since after weeks of trying we've still yet to see him, but the office seems to be disorganized. Called to make an appointment and a week later his office staff still hadn't returned my call so I called twice more and finally got an appointment for my child. Nothing like taking off work, pulling your kid out of school to make the appointment on time, driving all the way out there to have them call and cancel your appointment 20 minutes before its start time. I understand that emergencies arise but allowing us to see a colleague or at least being flexible in rescheduling would have been appreciated.

He worked on my son did a bladder ogmentation because he was born with ad nornal bladder. Really screwed him up! I tryed to find a lawyer to sue him and not luck. Has every lawyer out there under his pay roll. But I would'nt recommend to work on my dog let alone my son after what this Quack has done to my son. Has had nothing but problems for several after working on my son. If you run into him shy away. He dose not know what he is doing!!! my son is dyeing now! And there is know undoing what this Quack has DONE!

I'm just shock to find this 2 bad reviews, I don't believe they are true. Dr. Strand has been my son's urologist since birth. Even when I was pregnant we saw him and he took the time to explain to us the prognosis and the diferent possibilities my son's condition will bring.He is caring, compasionate and a excellent professional. He did my son's corrective surgery and I would highly recommend him.

My son has spina bifida and a neurogenic bladder. He has been a patient of Strand for about 15 years. Dr. Strand is great with my son and has always done an excellent job of explaining the situation to me. My son required surgery (about 8 hours worth) and Dr. Strand did an incredible job, so much so that other parents have asked me who did my son's procedure. In addition to his stellar surgical skills, Dr. Strand is kind and polite. Once, while making rounds, Dr. Strand was in my son's room when the nurse was going change his bed and move some equipment around. Dr. Strand helped! We have seen many surgeons, had dozens make rounds over the years. Dr. Strand is the only doctor I have ever seen lend a hand like that.I highly recommend him.

Dr. Strand was very thorough with explaining my daughter's kidney reflux. He spent a significant amount of time with me and my daughter and answered all of my questions.
