Dr. William Richard Travis, MD

Good position, bad organization My issue is not with Dr. Travis, but the organization. Simply put, they charge for every sub service. This includes travel fees, specimen draws, specimen transportation fee, etc. etc. they are not on many insurance plans so expect to pay out of network fees. The doctor while pleasant, is very cursory in his examinations. Typically a visit includes basic vital signs, a couple of minutes of history collection and then they are out the door. Most visits are 5 to 10 minutes in length for which you will pay several hundred dollars if your insurance does not cover their service. The office staff are very abrupt, especiallyThe corporate offices. Again, the doctor is very nice however the way medicine is provided by this organization it is really a service for medication refills for those unable to transport them selves to a primary care office. Do not expect definitive medical care from this organization.

Very intelligent, very personable and very compassionate

DR. TRAVIS AND HIS ASSISTANTS ARE THE VERY BEST!! HE COMES TO ME WITH HIS "VISITING PHYSICIANS GROUP" I DO NOT VISIT THE OFFICE, BUT HIS OFFICE STAFF HAS BEEN COURTEOUS, KNOWLEDGEABLE, AND KIND EACH TIME I HAVE SPOKEN TO THEM. IF I COULD GIVE DR. TRAVIS AN AWARD, IT WOULD BE A "GOLDEN PLAQUE" STATING "TO DO NO HARM". HE IS TRULY A GENUINE, PROFESSIONAL PHYSICIAN AND SINCERELY CARES FOR HIS PATIENTS!!!

We like Dr. Travis! He was with the McKinney Seniors Hospital for a long time but now has a new address as he is in private practice again. He spends plenty of time with you, is happy to make referrals to doctors he knows and respects. Getting an appointment is easy, and you will always get a return call, often from him personally. His diagnosis have been totally accurate for me and my husband. He reminds me more of an old fashioned doctor who listens intently to your concerns. Be sure to note that he is now on Ridge Drive in McKinney.
