Dr. William Nathan Upshaw, MD

Worst experience with a mental health "professional" of my life (and I've seen MANY providers over my 30+ years of depression treatments). I'd give him less than 1 star if this system had such an option. This guy (not worthy of being called a doctor) only seemed to care about making money. Decision had already been made BEFORE I started TMS therapy to close his practice's only location that would work for me (I'm a solo mom of four children after losing my husband unexpectedly 7 years ago). I asked him directly about this at initial consult, because the intake specialist had warned me. He refused to look at me while responding that the decision he "didn't know." Then, two-thirds through my treatment, he had a temporary employee tell me I'd need to switch another location, completely negating any benefit of his treatments to that point. He refused my requests for a phone call or explanation. DO NOT USE THIS PERSON OR HIS PRACTICE!!

I have been having issues with my panic disorder and my internal medicine doctor just wasn't helping. I have been able to communicate with email with Dr. Upshaw regardless of the day, he has even taken the time out to respond on weekends. We have also had several phone conversations in regards to my treatment and I feel as if he truly listens and has his patients in his best interest!

Don't tell this guy a thing about yourself, he will turn your words around and use them against you, he did it to me! He will put false statements in your file or allow them to be put there, believe me, there are too many doctors out there to put your trust in him!

My experience with Dr. Upshaw was wonderful I have been depressed and very anxious, he took the time to know me and my problems and did not try to just solve my problems with pills. It is has been several weeks since I started seeing him and I am feeling much better. Absolutely recommend hi,
