Dr. William Vranos, MD

90 yo relative broke her hip and by chance the surgeon on duty at St. Lukes was Dr. Vranos. He did hemi arthroscopy and she recovered. He's an excellent surgeon. He can do 5 major surgeries a day. Army experience was likely a real plus. Unlucky if you need him; lucky if you get him.

I have never said an ill word about any doctor with whom I have ever had an appointment, that is until now. I went to him because of terrible knee pain. When the doctor saw my husband’s retired Air Force hat, he proceeded to talk about his own military experience. He talked approx 8 minutes about his Army experience. I finally interrupted and asked about my knees. He said the pain was coming from my tendons. He asked where I’d like to go for physical therapy, and I told him. He said he would put and order in and that someone would call me with an appointment. As he was on his way out the door, I said that I had a few questions. He answered only one question (briefly) and out the door he went. About two weeks later, the pain was quite severe so I called Cape Rehab (Mashpee). I was told that no order was ever called in. Shameful!

Rushes through appointments and is very condescending. I would not recommend.

Dr Vranos and his staff accomadated us within a few hours if our calling their office. They were all helpful and the information he gave us was very beneficial.

Dr. Vranos performed an ACL on my son and the entire process, from the first phone call to his discharge after surgery and follow up care was excellent. I couldn't have asked for nicer more professional team to work with and for my son.
