Dr. William Sidney Whyte II, MD

I've been a patient of Dr White's for years He put he sent me to have my spinal stimulator put in and treated me on all my follow-ups. I called his office because my charger broke He will not sign insurance paperwork until I see him. I made an appointment but asked if he could sign it so we could get it started. His office told me no I asked to speak to him they didn't let me and proceeded to tell my PCP when she called them that they would no longer treat me and would not sign paperwork. Seems they have lost my records from 2013 to through 2018 and therefore don't have any record of him treating me. Totally incompetent I used to be a nurse

I was referred to Dr Whyte by my PCP due to continued pain following 3 back surgeries. From the moment Dr Whyte walked into the office, he was very courteous and talked in language that I could understand. I didn’t have my disk with me, so he ordered an MRI and and EMG to determine the amount of damage and what could be done about it. I hadn’t slept more than 2 hours a night in almost over 5 years. He placed a spinal cord stimulate in my back and it has been a game changer. Both he and his staff are the absolute best! Would recommend him to anybody who is in need of pain relief.

I had jaw surgery so I went to my pain mgt appointment for jaw pain (6 Aug). I saw the nurse who told me that they did not treat jaw pain. She told me that they treat only back and neck pain. I said are you sure? So she went to Dr White to ask him. She came back and said that they did not treat jaw pain. I left. I was not seen by Dr White at all. I complained to my PCM about the treatment that I received. He called Dr White. Dr White said that they do treat jaw pain. Dr White told my PCM that I was only looking for pain pills. Dr White is ignorant of the facts. Absolutely absurd statement to make about me especially since we have never talked or met. If it is the case that they do treat jaw pain then why was I turned away from treatment? Very poor service. I will not go back again. Horrible nurse who just doesn't know what she is doing. Wasted my time seeing him and the 40 pages of information that I had to fill out.

I don’t usually do this but my past few weeks experience with this office is the most unprofessional and uncaring thing I have ever been through. It really saddens me due to going here for about 3 years. I also had a relative that worked here a couple of years back. Dr. Whyte is a very likeable person. Doesn’t spend a lot of time with you to answer many questions and you don’t see him again from initial diagnosis. You are out when you get to him for injection, no follow up visit was scheduled, only when I started hurting again and I scheduled. Granted with 2 disc and after injections it was much better so ok. It was this last time, another MRI and nerve test. A torn disc this time, along with lots of issues going on with nerves causing lots of pain. He actually talked to nurse more than me. Scheduled procedure to help this. I let them know that Friday afternoon was best for me. Everything was good until I showed up for that appointment and the door was locked. I thought maybe closed… for lunch. Waited and finally called and was told they were closed. I had planned afternoon off and so had my husband. They have cell and work # but evidently was calling my home # to reschedule. I was first told, very rudely, that I never had an appointment at 1:30. When that was proven to be wrong all they wanted to do was argue with me. I was basically told that there wasn’t any other patients and the Dr. and Anesthesiologists didn’t want to wait for just me. It was a Friday. The only one that seemed to care at all was Nurse Chelsea. With hesitation I rescheduled and have days off planned and received a phone call today basically with same thing. If you don’t do Friday surgery, just say that and don’t schedule patients. The nurse that seemed either frustrated at whole situation or very uncaring also. I asked to speak with Dr. Whyte but she just came back to phone and was very short. I asked for my files and was told $1.00 a page. I really thought it was a joke. That couldn’t be serious. I have already paid them a fortune! I am still astounded at the cold uncaring reaction once you question them about their actions. I know how I will be treated in the future so will start with a new Dr. So sad for me but I am sure they don’t care.

My husband has had good results with the help Dr Whyte gave him. We were well pleased.

Poor care and horrible staff

So glad I didn’t read the comments before I went! I have had blinding pain in my neck/shoulder area and was referred to Dr Whyte. After filling out an enormous amount of paperwork, which was really my biggest complaint, he came in and asked me 2 questions, told me exactly what was wrong and prescribed a medication that has completely eased the pain yet I don’t fell like I’m in a haze! I would give him 100 stars if I could!

I have never been treated so rudely by a medical professional. I was referred by my physician in Ruston, LA. My first appy. Was cancelled by them because he had a plumbing issue. I was understanding and resceduled. 2nd appt. Dr. Came into exam room and started telling me I was wating his time because i didnt have a disc that had my MRI on it. I did not know I was supposed to have it. He had all my other records it was just the disc. They rescheduled me for today and when I arrived after driving 1 hr. and had the disc, I was told they had cancelled my appt. for noncompliance at the last visit. Mind you no one called me and let me know that. When I asked to wait and talk to the Dr. They called the police on me. So I wasted a 1/2 day of work to be treated so poorly it was ridiculous. I would not reccomend this Dr. to anyone! They are the most unprofessional medical office I have ever been too!

Staff unable to schedule required outside services and lied about their actions. Dr Whyte dropped me like a hot potato because Ibstood up for my rights. Staff do not communicate and it was a nightmare. I would recommend avoiding this doctor!
