I had no idea a virtual visit could be so thorough and personable.

I saw Dr. Winter because a friend gave me his name because my wife needed help sleeping. He was outstanding and worth the trip. He was very down to Earth.

I wanted to take some time to thank to again for helping my husband. You took the time to answer our questions and your full focus and attention was to help us understand the problem. Since the visit, he has been much more himself. We feel better having more knowledge. Thank you again for being the doctor you are and helping us through this. I had the hardest time finding a doctor well versed in narcolepsy, so I ended up driving all the way from the DC suburbs in the hopes that Dr. Winter would be just that. When he entered the room, I was anxious, tense, and most of all, exhausted with the whole "get-em-in-get-em-out" specialist routine. When I left the office, I felt as though a cloud had lifted. I had felt ostracized and dismissed for years, even after finally receiving a definite diagnosis. It was clear that Dr. Winter was willing to be a partner in care - he opened up by asking my goals for care, educated me about all the available options, and took the time to address my seemingly endless stream of questions. Best of all, he used anecdotes from the experiences of other patients to put me at ease. He is clearly very intelligent and also invested in improving his patients' quality of life. Additionally, it is worth mentioning that his administrative assistant Tammy is a saint!

I just wanted to thank you and your team for providing me with such excellent care over the years. Although I always felt your practice was superb, I didn't fully realize how much of a rarity it was until today. While at my new neurologist (it still makes me sad to say that) he was reviewing my patient history and reading your notes back to me. What stuck out the most to me were the personal details that were included such as my father's passing and the fact that I was a vegetarian. While seemingly small this shows a level of caring that far surpasses any other doctor I have had. I truly will miss your warmth, laughter, and ability to make me feel at ease regarding a difficult part of my life. You are what every doctor should strive to be.
