Dr Winternitz is a exceptional Doctor and Human Being!!

I was in a lot of pain from running marathons, karate, kick starting my harley and triathlons. I had problems getting out of my car and walking without pain from the arthritis. I was starting to limp. I had Dr. Winternitz do the Uni compartmental Oxford knee surgery . This guy did an unbelievable job. Two months after the surgery I am back to work... I have friends that had problems with knee surgery and I am really glad that I had this doctor. I tried to give him 6 stars but couldn't figure out how to do it. Thank you sir from the bottom of my heart. JP

I am athletic, ski, surf, golf, bike etc. Last year at 58 without a history my Meniscus started to fail. The arthroscopic procedure performed by another Dr. seemed to accelerated the demise. I went to many leading specialists including the Andrews Clinic. I needed a partial or a total knee replacement. Skiing would be out, other activites ?? Dr. Winternitz diagnosis was for a HTO (High Tibial Osteotomy. The surgery and recovery have been exceptional. I have since skied, surfed, golfed and have long bike rides without issue. I give Dr. Winternitz my highest recommendation!

This guy was arrogant, full of himself, he spent way to much time feeling me up, and no time discussing what happened. How bad it hurt, he ignored the photos of the injury, swelling,. My personal Dr. Who did not refer me to him (This was work comp visit) said he forwarded my MRI's (self pay) recommended immediate surgery. Dr Winternez recommenced Motrin? Frightening how easy it is for big insurance companies to buy a Drs report. Frightening, Winterneze can't be trusted. But hay that's what Vitals is for!

At the time I was wrestling and injured my knee. I was very nervouse because I didnt want to have surgery. Dr. Winternitz was very thourogh with me, he explained different options about treating my knee. Unlike other surgeons that would audomatically tell me I needed surgery. I healed just fine I was able to return to my regular activites. He's great. I would reccomend him to any athlete. !!

I must say that DR. Winternitz is the best there is. I on the other hand have to be the worst patient.In 2009 I tore my meniscus while on vacation and went to the local Hospital and was told that I had torn my Meniscus. When I returned home and went to my primary Doctor I was sent to see an Orthopedic Doctor who told me that I had a torn meniscus (Which I already knew) he them told me I would have to see an Orthopedic Surgeon. I ask him why and he told me he was not a Surgeon. (Now I ask you why didnt they send me to see an Orthopedic Surgeon first.) When trying to schedule in was told it would be 30 days before I could see an Orthopedic Surgeon and then told it would be another 30 days before I would be scheduled for surgery. Well, after so research I found DR Winternitz who saw me the next day and had me scheduled for surgery the next week. The attempt to repair my meniscus did not work so the Doctor and I decided on a total knee replacement. I was very comfortable in the way the… process was explained to me by Doctor Winternitz. THREE months later I was on the golf course. (This is where the bad patient comes in) While golfing some time later I jumped over a creek to retrieve my golf ball and injured my replacement knee. DR Winternitz quickly scheduled surgery for a total knee revision which was successful.In 2011 I fell off a later in my garage and landed on my replacement knee. Need less to say it took DR Winternitz 3+ hours of surgery to put it back together.During this entire process I was treated with respect and compassion.Now I do not jump creeks nor clime laters.I highly recommend Doctor Winternitz for any of your Orthopedic needs.

I was referred to Dr. Winternitzs' office by my GP after I broke a bone in my foot out hiking. It was easy to get an appointment with him, the staff was friendly and helpful. Dr. Winternitz was thorough and caring during my visits. He identified what was wrong and what my options were. Post surgery the follow up visits were as good as the previous visits, and my foot healed very well. I am very happy with Dr. Winternitz and his office staff, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend him!

Dr Winternitz saw my son Matt who has a crushed foot, Matt needed a referral to a specialist. Dr Winternitz was excellent in handeling the situation and referred us to a Dr who could help my son with his extensive injury. We were seen by the specialist that day. His office staff are caring and compassionate and very helpful. I would reccomend Dr Winternitz to anyone needing orthopedic care.
