Dr. William Zaffiro

William T. Zaffiro, Jr. has been in the field of mental health counseling for over 10 years. Earning his CDCA first in 2012, he has progressed towards being a clinical supervisor for both the Chemical Dependency Board and Counselor, Social Worker, and Marriage and Family Therapist Board. Competent in both group and individual care, he has worked with and trained professional counselors and students from CSU and John Carroll University. Bill focuses on clients that are suffering from depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, spiritual struggles, identity issues, and major life transitions. His goal is to provide compassionate empirically-based interventions to a variety of diverse populations to help traverse the complexities of life. Bill earned a Master's Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from John Carroll University. Bill uses motivational interviewing and person-centered approaches in conjunction with Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy (REBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT0, Narrative Therapy, Existential Therapy, and Solution-Focused Therapy (SFT) to approach issues of depression, anxiety, trauma, addictions, spiritual struggles, identity issues, and major life transitions. Bill understands the complexities of life and the courage it takes to address issues that may be stigmatized or taboo within our lives. Using compassionate approaches to confront these private issues, he allows clients to regain or enhance their strength during times of struggle.
