William Zimmerman, DO, FACOS, FACS

I did not wont the TURP operation as I find it very invasive, the most I think.I had the Green light ( or is it Blue) ether way, it’s laser twice, around 2003 and then again 2008. Now it’s back BPH. So I look at what there is and I find an operation called Rezum. Dr. Zimmerman does not do this procedure! So I have to to Greenville NC. After the first visit to Greenville I get this extrem pain that gets worse after a week (this was just for tests at this point) so now I go to Dr Zimmerman as I would not like talking a 220mile trip with the pain etc. long story short as a patient the conclusion I came to by his actions and remarks he made me think of a little child that was pouting because he could not have his own way. Canceled my next meeting with Dr. Zimmerman, time to find someone else.

Dr bret Zimmerman is a very nice man, but a very poor surgeon Two years ago I was unable to void. He suggested a TURP BECAUSE my prostate was huge, it was pinching shut my urethra He did the surgery , cutting.a path thru my prostate, leaving open path for urethra to function I was very, very sore. Black and blue. Had to have leg bag for six weeks , before I could void normally Had to take flows before surgery AND AFTER. NOW TWO YEARS LATER I'M IN SAME SITUATION. PROSTATE HAS GROWN BACK AND PINCHING MY URETHRA SHUT, RESULTING IN BLADDER INFECTIONS WOULD NOT WANT DR ZIMMERMAN TO TOUCH ME AGAIN

Dr. Zimmerman is one of the best Drs. I have been to. He leaves nothing to chance and has a genuine concern about his patients. I have had 3 surgeries with doctor Zimmerman all with a great outcome. His nurse Kathy is always friendly and is very attentive. They both go above and beyond for their patients. Love this practice!

Great doctor! It all starts when you enter his office and meet Kathi, his nurse. Knowledgeable, but most of all very helpful. I have been seeing Urologists for ove thirty years. I moved to Wilmington two years ago. Dr Zimmerman has been great to see, but most of all, knows his profession and explains everything where you can comprehend. He did a TURP on me. If you are looking for a GOOD Urologist. I highly recommend Dr. Zimmerman
