Dr Wilson Almonte

I had been in a level 10 pain for a week when I was scheduled for a spinal injection with Dr. Almonte. No one from his office told me to stay off baby aspirin for the days preceding procedure. Was there for three hours only to be told I couldn't receive the injection. Dr. Almonte in spite of my terrible pain wasn't going to inject me until a week later. To add insult to injury the dose of Gamapentin he prescribed was way under needed dose. Two days later I went to the ER and was treated with Morphine and other drugs. I have since changed Drs and my Gamapentin was upped from 100MG daily to 900MG daily. Am seeing other doctors now. I got my injection today and between that and correct dose of Gamapentin am feeling so much better. Oh yes, when I called the office in extreme pain after my visit, Nurse Frances told me not to scream at her. I wasn't screaming I was just so frustrated and in extreme pain. Only saw the dr. One time after a considerable wait and only because my primary care doctor called them directly and forcefully demanded that they see me sooner than the originally scheduled appointment (3 weeks out). When I tried to schedule a follow up appointment, no one would answer the phone during normal hours. I left a message as prompted but no one ever called back ( going on 2 weeks). I have been able to schedule, and see a specialist in Houston (2 hour drive) get the treatment and answers I needed in less time than it takes these guys to call you back. I had a great experience at this office. Friendly staffing and great service. I'm so glad to finally find a Doctor that gives you the best service.
