Dr. Wilson Ko, MD

Long long long wait. If you have time all day to wait for one appointment. They overbook and the MDs are not constantly seeing patients. I never see the doctors going back and forth to rooms with patients waiting. You could be in for an early morning appointment and you still have to wait. Late afternoon appointments, you have to wait like two hours before being seen. Medical assistants have high turnover rates , it's always someone new that do the office tests. My one star for the whole review is for the retinal specialist. If he is separated from the group, I would give him and his staff five stars. The only person good is Dr David Poon who is the specialist for retina. He's very patient and explains everything well and very polite and personable. AND Dr Poon is punctual and efficient with his appointments! Dr Wilson Ko on the other hand has no patience whatsoever for any questions you have. He's quite arrogant of his skills and does not have the time to explain anything to you. Dr.… Hong is a bit better in explaining what she has to do, more patients but still the same style of practice. Their style of doing things is they would spend more time and see the patients first who need cataract surgeries before the rest of the patients. Even if your appt is before theirs, they would somehow see them and get them consulted before other issues patients. It's basically cash profits from surgeries that they want patients for, not from regular insurance. Find yourself a different regular ophthalmologist practice who has time and efficiency than this group.

Dr. Ko provides excellent care and I had a great results from my cataract surgery.

I have been seeing Dr.Ko for years. Sometimes when I am done and ready to reschedule he tells the assistant to book me with another dr. That I do not like. If I want to see another Dr. I can go elsewhere. So, I told him I felt like I was being moved around. If he has other drs fine. Just don't shove me aside. Anyway, as patient with rights I will not go to anyone else in the office.

If it wasn't for Dr Ko id probably would be dead. He Cut out part of my left lung with bullae in 1997 .God bless him .

Dr Ko is one of the best doctors I have ever have visited.

I am in my 30s and did the nearsightedness Lasik in 2012 , the result was overcorrected to one of my eye and that have caused discomfort in that eye still ( I didn't have this problem before the Lasik). I need to wear my eyeglasses ( prescription) back and can feel better.

Dr. Ko has been my ophthalmologist for the past 9 years. Together, with the efforts of Peter Wesley, a retinal surgeon at New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, they have worked hard to save my vision. Although, through the years my medical insurance has changed, when asked, I always request Dr. Ko. Simply said, I will not e parted from a ophthalmologist who carefully listens to my concerns and addresses each one leaving me feeling confident I made the right choice in choosing him.

My mom had eye surgery done with this doctor, and it was really really poor. Did not explain anything to my mom, just in it for the money. The staff all around is very very poor. Will get a second opinion from a real specialist.

I got to my appointment at 10:45am. About 25 minutes later, one of the receptionists called me up to give my insurance card, etc. I asked her if I'd be out by 12:30pm and she gave me a definitive no. ?? So, my appointment was going to take over 2 hours. The office does not respect your time and that you have other things to do in your life besides sit in their office all day. The receptionist acted like I was ridiculous for thinking that I wouldn't have to wait for hours til my appointment was over. So after wasting my morning at the office, I was forced to leave without seeing the opthalmologist because I couldn't cancel all my other plans for the rest of the day.

i have been going to Dr. Ko since 1996, very professional, educated, kind also his staff i know very nice people.
