Dr. Winter C Hamada, PhD

I cannot recommend Dr. Hamada enough. She was recommended to me by a friend. I’ve seen several counselors and therapist and I can say with certainty she has ABSOLUTELY been a an asset to my mental health improvement. She is available regularly. She is flexible. She is caring. She is compassionate. She is understanding. She is accommodating. I’ve referred her to friends and family - and they also agree - they have not been able to match her abilities as a therapist (they had to leave island due to moving and miss her care, treatment and assistance tremendously). I cannot say enough compliments to relay her gifts in this field.

Wow, just read the last three reviews and it is so on point. Looks like this doctor hasn’t changed much in the last 10 years. 1) yes she was late for my first appointment as well. Late as in not even at the building! This would be a repeated pattern throughout the 2 years I saw her. 2) yes! She uses her personal cell phone. Please be careful on what you text her. It is not confidential and she shares your information with other patients. 3) wow she still bakes cakes and cupcakes for patients. Sounds about right. She’ll make you feel less than another patient by telling you about how she made cupcakes for another patient. 4) boyfriend? Sounds about right. She rather spend time with her boyfriend. 5) steer clear of this doctor. She hurt me deeply by not having boundaries, abused my time by being frequently late, and dropped me suddenly. I am pretty sure she’s talked about me to other patients as I had to hear her talk about other patients. You are worth more than seeing this doctor.… Please be careful. Find a doctor who respects your time, respects you as a person, shows up on time, keeps your information confidential and has good boundaries. She has none of this! Find a better doctor. Her dropping me was the best thing that has happened to me. I found a new doctor who actually is professional and respects me. Communicates Well

Been working with Dr. Hamada for over 3 years. She has seen me through some really hard times and been there to talk to, empower, and give gentle direction. She is a real person with real feelings, and sensitive. I see some people on here have had conflict with her, I have had a few rough spots but it has helped me work on my relationships with other people and expectations. I would highly recommend her if you are a sensitive person as I feel like she really gets me and has helped build my confidence greatly.

Horrible psychologist that gave up one me years ago while I was in my very early 30s. Wrecked my self esteem and self worth. After seeing her for over two years, she suddenly dropped me over text message and never spoke to me again. Created horrible suicidal ideation and loss my self worth as a person for many years. Never trusted a psychologist again after this.

I wouldnt be here today if it werent for Dr Winter Hamada. She is kind, smart, and understanding. She has not given up on me and is there for me above and beyond what anyone has. I trust what she says and does and im still moving forward today. Despite all the obsticles and brick walls i encounter.

Abandons patients that had full trust in her. Wouldn't reccommend.

Dr. Hamada always takes the time to truly hear you out and provides suggestions and methods you can use to cope with your issues. I always enjoy seeing her and look forward to continuing my treatment with her.

Not very trustworthy, gave up on me and doesn't care about all of her patients.
