Dr. William Patrick Sharkey
Dr. Pat Sharkey was born in Wallowa County, Oregon, where he grew up on a ranch and helped on the farm.
He went to college at Eastern Oregon State College in LaGrande, OR, for his undergraduate degree and while at EOSC he met his wife Lisa.
Dental School was the next adventure, as he attended Oregon Health Sciences University in Portland, OR.Â
After graduating from dental school in 1987 from OHSU, he opened a practice in Hermiston, OR, and Boardman, OR.
In 1995, he and his family, which now consisted of, Lisa and 3 children: Â Katie, Pat, and John Paul, moved to Walla Walla. Â The Sharkey family wanted to put their children in Walla Walla Catholic Schools and be closer to the mountains.Â
He eventually bought Norm Passmore's practice in 1999 which is at the current Alder Street address.
Dr. Sharkey truly enjoys the mountains (cabin), biking, community service (especially Medical Teams International/mobile dental van), …and is active in the St. Patrick's Catholic community.Â
He loves and remains very active in the Walla Walla Valley Dental Society. Â Currently he is on the committee of budget and finance for the WSDA(Washington State Dental Association.)
