Dr. Wolf Jacob Erlich, MD

This provider and office operate as if they are stuck back in the 1980’s. You will never get to speak with the doctor directly unless it is a scheduled office visit. Neither the provider nor staff “WILL” ever return your phone call even if you request a callback. During a recent conversation with the office staff I was informed they are not affiliated with any network hospitals and that they do not have the capabilities to access any portals (i.e. Midstate or Hartford Hospital) to request or review recent medical documents for any care provided for you outside of their own office. When I ask how they would receive pertinent medical documents (exp. hospital discharge) I was told that the facility would have to fax the documents to their office. This office will not provide you with any assistance and will not pick up the phone and request any medical information (i.e. medical documents or X-rays) outside of their care to be sent to them for review. The expectation is that you do all the… work for them. If you are considering this provider and office, my suggestion would be to keep searching. Last time I checked it was the year 2020…

I have been seeing Dr. Erlich for about six months. He is terrific, and he is without a doubt my best doctor thus far, and I have a few. He has a singular focus: my well being. I should have seen him months ago. Excellent manner and a great listener.

Dr. W. Erlch is an excellent DR.. Been with him over 36 yrs and never has a problem with him. He treated my mother and now my brother and me. I've referred several friends to him as well. He now has anew staff which is not all that friendly. His nurse Liz is good but his receptionist does not have he temperament to work the desk she fly's off the handle way to much. I never had a problem with his staff in all the years I been going to him, but this women is not my favorite. She very un professional when it comes to talking to pts and scheduling appointments for them. She does not seem to care about the patient or their circumstances, she doesn't listen to what they tell her and she can be very curt. She has hung up on me a few times because she seemed frustrated. Not good sign. She has been the most uncooperative receptionist I have encountered I his office in the 36 yrs I have been going to him.

Great bedside manners. Doesn't keep you waiting for your appointment. Wonderful staff. Keeps my sugar in check.

Dr. Erlich is a really good guy, very funny, certainly with a different sense of humor, but makes you feel comfortable immediately, as if you've been going to him for years. He also does a great job of explaining any issues you might have, why it may take longer to get better or what types of reactions you might have to a certain type of treatment. He is my general practitioner, I've been to him for annual physicals and also when I'm not feeling well. I enjoy his approach and do recommend him, especially if you'd like a Dr. with a unique personality. His staff is great too, they get you in and out and are very friendly. I gave two stars on the follow up portion because I don't think I've ever had issues that needed follow up so it doesn't really apply.

I first met Dr. Erlich when I brought my client in to see him for his Diabetes checks. I went to see him myself when I realized he really tries everything to get an answer for his patients. I have had a weight problem my whole life and now it is starting to effect my life at 27, he didn't just run thyroid panels and say "you're fine" he genuinely felt bad that my thyroid wasn't the easy answer for me to deal with and put me on a prescribed diet and basic exerciser plan where only a week later I'm already down 10 lbs which i haven't been able to do that in YEARS even with weight watchers.He is a phenomenal doctor to the point where he isn't just my endocrinologist but also my primary!

Dr. Erlich always makes sure that I don't have any questions or concerns. Some people may be put off by his sense of humor or (lack of) bed-side manner, but he gets down to business and addresses what is important - your health. I am happy with my doctor, I only wish he would give the office a face-lift/makeover!

I have been with Dr. Erlich for 3 years now. My diagnosis has been hard for me to handle and he has always been there for me to try to make the best of it and guide me in the direction I need to go. I would HIGHLY recommend him to anyone!! He takes his time, he listens and most of all he makes you feel good about yourself.
