Dr. Wontika Raye Smith, MD

This girl is very sarcastic, uncompassionate, habitually late and seemingly uninformed about the latest technology where fibroids are concerned. I ended up educating her about new procedures. I went to see her about my hormones regarding hair loss and early menopause. I was scared and depressed with my hair falling out and this girl seemed to enjoy my distress! She had an amused look on her face and was grinning as I was telling her my symptoms and on the verge of tears! I would not recommend her and will never see her again. What a sick nasty piece of work.

6 years ago i was diagnosed with breast cancer and fibroids so large that it would require a hysterectomy. At this time i became disenchanted with my doctor. A friend told me to see Dr Wontika Smith. Even though she was at the same practice as the doctor i was leaving. As you can imagine, changing doctors at this time can be very stressful. The office staff was very accommodating with my request. Dr Smith was awesome. She was understanding, patient and very kind. She put any fear I had to rest as she is extremely skilled competent in what she does. I was about to undergo a procedure with 4 surgeons in one trip to the OR. Every doctor i had complimented the next and my surgery was a huge success. But knowing you need a complete hysterectomy before you've ever missed a period and that you will immediately be tgrust into menopause like hitting a brick wall can be very scarey. Dr Smith was awesome. She talked to me and assured me of what might change in my body. She took the… time and i really appreciated it! So you may have to wait at your appointment time but ashtrays remember. It might be you that she took her time with one day, making her late for her next appointment.

Be prepared to wait a minimum of 45 minutes when ever you schedule an appointment with this woman. With one exception she has been late every time I went to see her. She is also rude, sarcastic and cold. I've never felt completely comfortable with her and I should've trusted my instincts and found another gyn a long time ago. She appeared to lack basic high school level knowledge about hormones and the role they play in your overall health which is scary. I didn't appreciate the patronizing and belittling way she spoke to me either. I'm the one going through something yet I wasn't rude to her. Also her medical assistant was nice enough but it was extra weird having her just stand there and alternate between looking me in the face and looking at my private areas as Wontika was examining me! Seriously, talk about awkward!

Worst doctor/office I've ever been to. Horrible bedside manner & rushes through appt. She didn't make me feel confident that I could get more reliable answers from her as opposed to Google.

Dr. Smith is very personable, made me feel very comfortable, and answered all of my questions.
