Dr. Woo Hyun Paek, MD

We have been going to Dr Paek for many years, but are finding out his office is not good with dealing with health insurance, and really don't care about a child's well being. The issue I had with the office is that my kids ended up having Medi-cal for a while and then got regular insurance that Dr Paek takes, and the office won't see them because they say the Medi-cal is still active. I called and cancelled the Medi-cal, but the office says it's still open in the system. The reason I am so upset and shocked with Dr Paek's office is because I called today to get my 10 year old son a flu shot and they said he can't get it because of this problem that the Medi-cal is still active. Who does that? There is no other place to go right now because all the pharmacies are packed with people getting the vaccine boosters because of Omicron and this office won't give a 10 year old a flu shot because he has 2 insurances? So crazy and makes me happy we are changing since I can't imagine if my kids… were really sick and needed their pediatrician's guidance and help.

Dr Paek has been my daughters MD since she was born 8 years ago. He was on of his first patients and even though we live 45 minutes away I always pay more to stay in his network. Very knowledgeable, kind, caring, and always makes himself available to his patients. I trust my family in his hands.

I am glad to finally find a doctor listens to mom's concerns and likes kids.

Professional. Takes the time to explain what's going on with our firstborn. Completely courteous. No language or cultural barriers as there can be with other 1st gen Koreans. I recommend him to my friends and plan on taking my future children to him.
