One of only 280 Cosmetic Dentists in the World
Dr. Okuda is one of only 280 dentists worldwide to be accredited by the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry (AACD). And in Hawaii, Dr. Okuda is one of three AACD-accredited dentists, and the first on Oahu. The AACD is the largest dental organization in the world, with nearly 7,000 members.

kuda is probably best known for creating the cosmetic dentistry of Miss Universe 1997 Brook Lee’s dazzling smile. He has also performed cosmetic dentistry on international celebrities such as Baywatch Hawaii’s Stacy Kamano, in addition to other American and Japanese television and movie stars.
Accomplished Author and Speaker
Dr. Okuda is an accomplished author and international lecturer on the topic of cosmetic dentistry. His articles have appeared in publications which include the Journal of the American Dental Association, and Current Opinions in Cosmetic Dentistry. Among the organizations and universities he has lectured for are the American Dental Association (ADA), the International Federation of Esthetic Dentists (IFED), UCLA, University of Minnesota, University of California at San Francisco, and the AACD (five consecutive meetings).
He has also lectured at the Tokyo Medical/Dental University, and for the Korean Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry, Japan Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry and Singapore International Dental Conference. He was also the only cosmetic dentist to lecture at the International Society of Aesthetic Surgery/Japan Society of Aesthetic Surgery conference. Dr. Okuda is a graduate of the Oregon Health Sciences University School of Dentistry, and is on the "Best Dentists in America" list.
A World Recognized Leader in Cosmetic Dentistry
Dr. Okuda is the 2002 – 2003 National President of the AACD, and past editor of numerous award-winning professional dental publications, including the Journal of Cosmetic Dentistry. He is a Fellow of the International College of Dentists, Fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists, and co-founder of the Pan Pacific Dental Institute, which provides professional education in cosmetic and implant dentistry for practitioners in the United States and around the world.
He is the Esthetic Dentistry Expert to the National Dental Expert Advisory Board of the Academy of General Dentistry (AGD) with over 37,000 members, on the Advisory Board for Best Dentists of America (one of ten nationally), and is on the Editorial Board for Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry (PPAD).
A Giver and Philantropist
Dr. Okuda is the founder of the "Give Back A Smile" Program, a charitable foundation of the AACD which helps survivors of domestic violence throughout the nation to restore their smiles and lives.
